NHC Hurricane forecasters are tracking a tropical disturbance that is over the open Atlantic Ocean and has little chance of forming into something else in the next two days. But Puerto Rico and Haiti might see some effects in the coming days. The system has a 20% chance of forming into something else in the next seven days. As of 8 p.m. Friday, the National Hurricane Center said an area of “disturbed weather” was sitting over the central tropical Atlantic and was expected to interact with a coming tropical wave during the next several days. This encounter might cause some system development as it moves toward the Lesser Antilles during the early to middle of next week. It will move west-northwest near the Greater Antilles in the latter part of the week.
