We offer customised trips to the North coast of Haiti, mainly Cap Haitien and San Rafael. You decide length, and activities, (unless you sign up for one of our already prepared trips). Although we feel any trip to Haiti should be loooong, we appreciate that our clients often have limited time to spare. We would however still like to advise to spend at least two nights. Background:
After some years
in the Dominican Republic, the Haiti native Nene Joseph, decided to start bringing people to visit his beloved country. Tired of hearing all the horrorstories people had been told, he decided there was time for a change - people needed to see that Haiti is so much more than natural disasters and poverty. As an athlete himself, Nene loves to include sports in some way to Camp Haitiens trips, but this of course depends on the interesest of our guests. Packages starts from 200 usd (2 nights double occupancy, transportation included). We always stay in a nice and comfortable hotel, on the hillside of Cap Haitien. Activities we offer:
- visit to different NGOs and other organisations (based on clients interest)
- beachday, ending with a lovely meal of freshly caught lobster or other seafood
- Visit to Citadelle
- Visit to markets in and around the city
- Paddleboarding
- Volunteer work
- Trip to the neighbouring San Rafael to visit a local family. We cook together over an open fire (the haitian way), swin in the river and walk in the surrounding hillside.
