I haven't made an English video for 6 months, so I was really surprised how well it performed without even announcing it anywhere.
Maybe it's because people are commenting more, or it's the thumbnail, who knows - but it has 5x the views of my Nikon Z8 review.
Thanks for Nikon Hungary and Nikon for giving me the camera for a week.

Basically, forget the Bulb mode, and shoot many shorter exposures and then put the lighttrails together in editing!
Saves you a lot of pain when shooting, and gives unlimited flexibility in editing.

Though I love the images, some are over-edited in my opinion.

Which color do you like Chain Bridge the most? Let me know 👇

Yesterday I was surprised to see that not only did they finished setting up the lighting equipment after a 2-year-long reconstruction, they were also testing the lights in different colors.

I think the "basic" one will the second from the bottom, and they will reserve the national one (top) for the national holidays.

I have taken lots of photos of the Hungarian Parliament building, but the one I took yesterday is my favorite so far!

Everything happened as I wished:

- the Scenic river cruise ships were not docking here, so I had a clear view
- the level of the Danube is very high, it was 2 feet under the concrete bay where we were standing

Taken with a small Sony RX100, with ND filter turned ON, ISO 125, f/8, 20mp.

I took the liberty to remove a crane in PS from the right side of the Parliament, and also add some coloring to the photo in Lightroom.
In fact, the colors are tuned down on this photo, because the building looks overly yellow at night.

Composition-wise this photo would be a boring one in daytime...
But at night, the curving lighttrails create this unique funnel shape that I just love.

On the picture in the oldest bridge of Budapest, the Chain Bridge.

Behind the pillar, in the distance is the spires of St Stephens Cathedral. Unfortunately the location of the Cathedral wasn't set by a photographer, otherwise, it would be on the exact same line as the bridge :)

Technical info: Canon 6D, 70-200mm f/4 at 70mm, f/13, 8s, ISO 100.

I've seen this view of Budapest hundreds of times, but never get bored of it.
This picture I took just perfectly in the Blue Hour, with a Canon 6D and 70-200 lens.
It shows the river Danube, the Chain Bridge, and on right, the hungarian Parliament.

Time to revive my FB page! Been ages since I last posted anything... There's a good reason for that: I don't believe in Facebook. It's draining more energy than what it gives back.
But still, it's good channel for proving that I'm a real person, and a real photographer :)

This is a good example of that, I think: a shot from St Stephen's day: we have huge fireworks every year celebrating the birth of the country on 20th of August
I promised my wife I'd never shoot the fireworks again from here... Because the whole inner city is closed off, and it's way too overcrowded! Fortunately my wife could grab a spot for us in the Castle, and there was enough space on the Castle wall for my son to sit, and the tripod to hold my Canon 6D :)

This is a composite image blended from two frames taken with 8sec, f/16 and ISO100.
