Summer is coming! 🌞🗺

If you are coming to Hungary this summer, you should definitely go to Lake Balaton! People often call it the Hungarian Sea. The food on the beach, the walks near the railways, the arcades, and the water bike, are all part of the Hungarian summer.

Our Airport pick-up point is open! ✈️

We have opened our new pick-up point at the Ferenc Liszt International Airport! If you are traveling to Budapest, and you need your stroller ASAP (which in this case is upon arrival) you can choose to pick up your reserved items at the Airport!

Where can you find us?
The pick-up point is located at the “Arrivals” level, on the corridor between terminals A and B, at the official airport “Luggage Storage, Left Luggage” room.

Opening hours: Mon–Sun 6 AM–10 PM

Good to know:
-It is only possible to pick up products booked and paid for on our website (www.lottirose.com) in advance!
-The reservation and the payment of the rental fee must be made 72 hours before departure (i.e. pick-up)!
-It is not possible to pay the rental fee at the airport pick-up point, it can only be paid by bank transfer or online at www.lottirose.com.
-We ask for a deposit of 40,000 HUF or 100 EUR IN CASH when handing over the baby accessories, which amount will be returned after receiving the product without any damages.
-You will need the booking confirmation number (order ID) – which is usually a 5-digit number – to pick up a reserved baby accessory. This identifier can be seen in the header of the order.
-The fee for the pick-up point is 4990 HUF or 15 EUR.

Emergency cases:

If you realize at the airport that you need a stroller, we can help. We have a cabin-sized Cybex Libelle stroller at our pick-up point for these cases. Make a standard reservation and pay online at www.lottirose.com, and leave the deposit in cash at the pick-up point. Finally, to pick up the stroller, present the booking confirmation number that you received by e-mail.

If you need to pick up or drop off the items outside our opening hours due to a flight delay, ask for help from the Excess Baggage Company luggage laminator on the departure level or by calling 06203809926.

Jogging strollers? In the city as well? 🌆

A good choice! But why❓

We tried a lot of brands, and we offer the best ones based on our own experiences. The BOB jogging strollers are not only good for jogging, hiking, or skiing but also for sightseeing. They easily pass through any kind of surface, due to the stroller’s massive wheels. That means the snow just as much as the cobblestoned streets. In the latter case, make sure to use the stroller with the swivel front wheel (BOB Revolution), so that you can maneuver easily in the city.

So yes, we highly recommend jogging strollers for sightseeing too in Budapest. 🇭🇺

New Year’s Eve is coming up!

Fortunately, Budapest has plenty of programs for this night as well!
Whether you are going to a spa, a concert, a theater, or a restaurant, you don’t need a babysitter to have fun, you can spend the night with your family, including your child! The city has a lot of family-friendly programs throughout the day.

In case you forgot to make a reservation, and everything is sold out now, you don’t have to worry. There are a lot of programs in the Holiday Markets too, especially at the Vörösmarty square. Champagne for adults and for children, music, fireworks, confetti, and many more. 🎆

You can have fun with your little ones too, just don’t forget to bring your earmuffs! 🎧

🇭🇺If you want to experience Hungarian New Year’s Eve, here are some fun facts and superstitions about the night:

#1 We don’t call it New Year’s Eve, we call it Szilveszter, after the name Sylvester. We celebrate name days and Szilveszter is the name for this day, so we are kind of saying goodbye to the last day of the year. 🎉

#2 You cannot eat any kind of meat but pork on the first day of the new year. This animal digs up your luck, the others either fly or swim away with it. 🐷

#3 You have to eat lentils on the first day because the more you eat, the more money you will have in the year. 💸

#4 You cannot do any kind of work on the first day, including taking out the garbage or cleaning. You will throw away your luck. 🍀

🎄Gozsdu Christmas Market: The holiday market in the Gozsdu Garden is open until December 30. If you are on the Pest side, you should definitely check it out, it’s in the heart of the city.
