We were tasked to design an active day-trip outside Budapest. Our answer was a hike through the Dera gorge followed by exploring not just the viewpoints of Dobogókő, but also the abandoned Nimród hotel.

We could not miss the opportunity to miss out the famous ginger drink and other hikers' bites offered by the hilltop hut.

Impressions from a rather overlooked festival: Paty's very own Open Cellar Festival.

We were tasked by a well travelled guest to design an off the beaten path experience. We could not pick a better one than Paty's festival on the second weekend of January. Heartfelt food from local vendors accompanied the local up and coming wines.

We were tasked to design a largely off the beaten path day in Budapest for a well travelled guest. Here is what we came up with:

We focused our attention to the Széchenyihegy and Svábhegy neighbourhoods, did a bit of hiking in Budapest's well kept secret: Harangvölgy and washed it down with a sunset cruise on the river Danube. 😇

Folytatva a néhány napja elkezdett témát... személyre szabott túrák összerakása nem csak asztal melletti kutatómunkából áll, hanem terepmunkából is. Amit kitalálunk a t. ügyfélnek, azt le is járjuk, annak érdekében, hogy az idegenvezetés során a lehető legjobb élményt tudjuk adni. 😇

2025-es évben sem ülünk tétlenül!

Beérkeztek az első lekérések személyre szabott városnéző sétákra, így gondoltuk bepillantást engedünk abba, hogy indul a tervezés, ötletelés. Előkapunk minden olyan könyvet, amiben lehet egy-egy olyan történet, aminek jobban utána tudunk járni. Ezeket a történet morzsákat illesztjük össze egy-egy városnéző sétához.

Legközelebb Krisztinaváros, Kissvábhegy, Svábhegy, és Széchenyihegy városnegyedekbe viszünk olyan vendégeket, akik már többször voltak Budapesten és most olyan részeit fedeznék fel Budapestnek, ahol kevés külföldi vendég fordul meg.

We dont stop, not even during Christmas! We like curious travellers are lot, especially when they put a lot of energy into getting an impression of Hungary! thus it was a pleasure for Tímea to show Budapest's city centre to a family from India.

Are you in Budapest and miss white Christmas? ​

It is still not too late to arrange white Christmas for yourself, and here is how you can do that:

take suburban train H5 (Szentendre) to Pomáz. Change to Volanbusz line 862/860. The Pomáz bus terminal is right by the suburban train station, thus the changing between lines is easy and smooth. Even the schedules are synced. The stop for line 862/860 is the first one, a little to the left from the suburban train station. When it comes to domestic bus lines, locals queue. In order to avoid unnecessary conflicts, stand in the line.

With Volanbusz head to "Dobogókő hegytető" station. The bus ride takes about 35-40 minutes.

Both suburban train tickets between Békásmegyer and Pomáz and the domestic bus ticket are available to purchase on the mav-start app.

Time to enjoy a hot ginger drink at the hütte before walking along the snow covered hiking trails, or heading to the sledging slopes.

Today Orsi had the pleasure to introduce the Hungarian festive traditions and the landmarks of Budapest to a lovely family from the US who booked a day-trip from Vienna to Budapest with .

Come with us to the action packed day we organised for the Art Society Marlow:
we started the day at the beautifully restored Kőrössy-villa,
followed by lunch at Vadaspark restaurant tucked deep in the woods of Budakeszi
ride through the magical Buda hills with the famous narrow-gauge Children's railways and with the cogwheel train
We topped all this with a guided tour in the Memento Park

All this led by our expert guide, Eszter 😎🥳

Returning groups have a special place in our hearts. Thus, Charles University groups as well. This time, Eszter took the lead of a group of 15 students and their teachers.

We could fit lots of different experiences into the two walking tours, like sampling some chimney cake, strudels, taking pictures with a falcon, seeing some off beaten parts of Pest and landmarks of Buda, and many, many more. Both days, accompanied by fantastic weather. 😀
