We’re thrilled to announce our new board and President following our recent AGM in Vilnius, Lithuania.

🎉 Congratulations to Eduarda Neves from Portugal Travel Team, who takes over as our President! Eduarda succeeds Rajeev Kohli, who has completed his term. We’re delighted that Rajeev will remain on the board as Immediate Past President.

It is with profound sadness that we announce today the tragic passing of our dear colleague and friend, Balint Antal, who left us at the age of 39.

Balint was a cherished member of our team, known for his unwavering dedication, kindness, and the enthusiasm he brought to every project.
Balint’s journey was marked by his passion for his family and his job. He approached his work with a level of commitment and creativity that inspired those around him. Balint had a unique ability to connect with colleagues, always taking the time to lend an ear or offer support, making him a beloved figure in our team.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Balint was a person of great character. He loved acting and his zest for life was evident in all he did. He was not only a coworker but a true friend who brought joy and laughter into our lives.
Balint leaves his wife Eszter and 7-year old son Mirko behind, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. 🖤🖤🖤

The end of last month (26-30th August) was that time of the year, when many young nephrologists from around the world (from a total of 21 countries) gathered in Budapest for the annual 28th Budapest Nephrology School which is a one-week, English-speaking, internationally recognized, CME refresher nephrology course organized by the Hungarian Kidney Foundation at the Semmelweis University and our PCO department has the privilege to organize it for many years now.
Among the pictures, you may find a thank you letter from the Filipino delegates - which means the world to us 🙏🏻 -, along with a pic of a huge bell 🔔 which is a vital prop of the event, the founding President Professor who’s the main organizer of the event uses it to let everyone know, it is time for a break!

Thank you to the Hungarian Kidney Foundation for the continuous trust and to all participants!

This month, before IMEX Frankfurt 2024, we had the privilege to host 9 wonderful people coming from the USA to our beloved Budapest, to give them a better insight into what's there to find in our capital that they can offer to their clients. It's been a fun few days and it was a pleasure to be around them. On foot, on boat, behind wheels, we shared a lot of great moments together and I believe that they have all fell in love with Budapest! Can't wait to welcome them back!
Huge thanks to Pamela Shepherd -euromic's Business Development Manager for North America- for making this happen and to our dear co-hosts the Budapest Marriott Hotel, especially Albert Márton who was with us on behalf of Marriott International throughout the whole trip.

Last Thursday we've been invited to the premiere of the Botaniq Collection which is the umbrella brand for the hotels and restaurants owned by the BDPST Group. The event took place in the prestigious Pesti Vigadó, the setup and the decoration truly reflected on the brand's name giving the impression of a vivid and lush secret garden. Entertainment was provided through dancers of the world-famous Ballet Company of Győr, acting as nymphs of the garden. As of now, the collection has eight units: the BOTANIQ Turai Kastély / Castle of Tura and its restaurant, the Clarisse; the Verno House and its restaurant, the Flava Kitchen&More; the Andrássy Kúria & Spa with its restaurant, the Bobajka; the Botaniq Budai Club and last but not least, the recently opened longevity hotel the Melea the Health Concept All of them were represented on this exceptional night.

Where to meet us next time?
As we're slowly approaching the end of Q1 2024, let us give you a hint where to meet our dedicated team members in the upcoming months.
- The first event will be Marrakesh for the m&i Fest between 18-20 March 2024, joining forces with other Hungarian exhibitors all led by Visit Hungary
- Next stop will be Valencia for Europe Congress 's second annual Events Club Associations Forum (7-9 April, 2024) where 150 international associations, PCOs, and event solutions providers will connect.
- Last but not least, before Summer kicks in, our team -as always- will be present at the annual IMEX Frankfurt tradeshow (14-16 May, 2024) as well, actually at two stands: euromic & Visit Hungary

2024 could not have started better for us as we've just received certified accreditation from Biosphere Sustainable Lifestyle.
As proud member of euromic, we've started our journey with the Biosphere platform back in 2022 and now we've reached the certified level. Though this is a great feedback and we couldn't be more proud of it, we do know that it's a milestone on the road instead of the finish line. Sustainability should be considered as a must criteria more than ever and needs restless dedication from all of us.

We hope that all our Friends & Partners had a happy & pleasant Christmas holiday. We started the festive vibe early on the 15th with our company's Christmas night out at one of the best restaurants in Budapest, the Michelin-starred Rumour by Rácz Jenő

It was truly an amazing experience to indulge in their interpretation of 21st century culinary. We highly recommend them to all of you, they should be on everyone's bucket list who'll be visiting Budapest in 2024!
