Visit important medical locations for the past generations and many stories of the past, based on doctors, treatments, and superstitions! We will get familiar with history of very special medical treatments here in Budapest, and get explanations of some rare sicknesses (nostalgia was considered a sickness for example). Hear about the famous Hungarian doctor Ignac Semmelweis, who got his nickname “mother saver”. During our walk we will be looking for the reason why Hungary has many special medicinal thermal spas and why many people believe that here you can actually find the heart of the Earth. SZENTENDRE TOUR
Take a drive with us from Budapest to Hungary’s most romantic little town, Szentendre. On the way we pass the 2000 year old ruin-city of the Romans. In Szentendre on almost every corner you will find something worth taking a picture of, or a shop selling unique souvenir items, from paintings to collectibles offered by artists working on the street.
