This winter season is outstandig in the number of eagles. 30-40 eagles often eat in front of the hide at the same time, which gives good opportunity for the wildlife photographers.

Our eagle hides are fantastic in this season, many eagles visiting daily! Last Friday we even had some snow in the Hortobágy - a rare event nowadays - so our photographers could enjoy such views! Image by Márk Kovács.

Late autumn in Hungary is not all about Geese and Cranes! The majestic Saker is always our prime target while Wallcreeper is only seasonal in Hungary. Today the first snow has arrived so we are looking forward to start our Winter Photography Season, all the hides are ready and waiting our guests. With a bit of luck you can photograph Saker from our hide in the Hortobágy!

The GHOST of the forest: Eurasian Lynx!

This video was made by our guide Szabolcs Kovács. Fantastic observation, congratulations Szabi!
It is a secretive and scarce animal and for most of us it takes many years to see one in the wild. For some of us it never happens! You certainly need to spend enough time in the forest, but you need luck as well!
Our Lynx tracker Ferenc-Alpár Gothárd is the only Sakertours team member who regularly see these magnificent mammals. He has photographed them earlier this year on one of our Lynx Photography Tours!

Report of our recent Danube Delta and Dobrudja tour is online on our website.
Márton was doing a great job and they managed to see a bunch of great stuff in the area including dozens of Pallas's Gulls, several Little Bitterns, Broad-billed Sandpiper and many more.

In August we have organized a costum bird photography tour to the Danube Delta area! The result was unexpectedly nice. We have seen and photographad many Little Bitterns, even a Great Bittern, Pallas's Gulls, Whiskered Terns, Dalmatian Pelicans and large groups of White Pelicans including fresh juvenile birds while fishing toghether with Cormorants.
We are sharing with you a selection of images taken on this tour.

Our Romania Mammal Tour 2024 has ended with a great success again! We have seen 58 speices of mammals on this epic journey from the Danube Delta to Transylvania. 2024 highlights included a fantastic Marbled Polecat, a rather brief European Mink, Romanian and Common Hamsters, Hazel & Forest Dormouses, Northern Birch Mouse and 5 speices of shrews!
