Immigration bureau of Indonesia made an announcement on official Instagram as follows.

-Foreigners who can enter Indonesia are holders of:
-Service visa
-Diplomatic visa
-Visit visa
-Limited residence visa
-Official stay permit
-Diplomatic stay permit
-Limited stay permit
-Permanent stay permit
-Transportation crew members who come using their own means of transportation;
-Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (KPP APEC) Businessman Travel Cardholders;
-International transit passengers.

Visit visas that can be granted are for foreigners who carry out the following activities:
-Emergency and urgent trips
-Undertaking business talks
-Purchasing goods
-Skills testing for prospective foreign workers
-Medical and food aid and support personnel;
-Joining a ship or other means of transportation in Indonesia.

As for the limited stay visa, it can be issued to carry out work and/or non-working purposes.
Limited stay visa for work can be granted to foreigners in the following cases:
-As an expert
-Joining a ship, working on offshore equipment, or installations operating in the archipelago waters, territorial sea, or continental shelf, as well as the Indonesian Exclusive Economic Zone
-Supervising the quality of goods or production
-Performing inspections or audits at company branches in Indonesia
-Servicing after sales
-Installing and repairing machinery
-Performing non-permanent work in the context of construction
-Prospective foreign workers who will work in the context of testing skills

Meanwhile, a limited stay visa for non-working purposes can be granted to foreigners in the following cases:
-Conducting foreign investment
-Family reunification
-International elderly tourists

Visa applications should be done by attaching an application letter addressed to the Director-General of Immigration and sending it to [email protected] or contact a visa agent.

The following documents will need to be attached:
-Guarantor’s identity documents
-Applicant’s identity documents
-The email address of the guarantor
-The guarantor’s KTP number
-Application number of any previously applied for a visa

Special Instructions for Travelers from the UK, Europe and Australia (valid 22 Dec thru 8 Jan)

I. Foreigners traveling from the UK either directly or by transit are not permitted to enter Indonesia.
II. Foreigners and Indonesian citizens traveling from Europe and Australia directly or by transit must show negative PCR test results from their originating country that are issued no more than 2 x 24 hours prior to departure and must provide it to the health authority on arrival or attach it to the e-HAC.
III. Indonesians traveling from the UK must follow the requirements in (II.)
Travelers arriving from Europe and Australia will take another PCR test on arrival and if the result is negative, Indonesians will undertake a quarantine for 5 days in a quarantine accommodation provided by the government; foreigners are obliged to undertake a quarantine for 5 days in a hotel that is designated by the government at their own cost.

After 5 days of quarantine a PCR test will be repeated, and if the result is negative both Indonesian and foreign travelers will be permitted to continue their journey.

The ministry of communication sent out the following announcement to authorities

Section 4.b.1. From 22nd of December foreign arrivals will need 3x24hrs(72hours) PCR negative test (7 days will be no longer valid) to enter Indonesia.

(Wi-fi at the airport is currently down as of 7th Dec 2020)

There are 2 kinds of quarantine form to submit after you enter to Indonesia. (white and yellow form)

‼️ For those who transit to domestic flight on different day of arrival to Jakarta ‼️

If you are planning to transit to Bali next day(not in same day), before you line up to the boarding counter, you are required to obtain a stamp of approval on quarantine form from the counter located between D and F.
Please note that if you line up to boarding counter without approval stamp, you will need to obtain an stamp of approval right before you board on airplane which is time consuming.
