My family and I decided to have a big holiday this year, travelling to Bali and Dubai. We wanted to stay at a few different areas in Bali so we could get a better idea about the island.

We chose to stay at Ubud, Seminyak and then Nusa Dua. When looking for suitable accommodation for my family it needed to accommodate everyone’s needs.

Seminyak was going to be where we would stay the longest as I felt there was a lot for all ages to see and do. I therefore wanted affordable luxury accommodation but with lots of relaxing space. Many accommodations I found had very little outside space. This was where Villa Plawa Asri stood out from the rest. Having seen the YouTube video I knew we had to book this beautiful villa.Any questions and requests I had before arrival were promptly answered by Komang, the manager. He arranged a driver to transfer us from Ubud to the villa, for a half day tour and also our ongoing transfer to Nusa Dua. All at very reasonable rates.

On arrival at the villa we stepped into the grounds and all of us were stunned by the exquisite site that lay in front of us. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The gardener does an excellent job. He makes sure that it all looks perfect every day. We were shown around the villa and we all chose our rooms. All independent rooms with inside/outside bathrooms.

We were introduced to the staff who are all lovely. They keep everything spotless. The rooms are cleaned daily and every evening at dusk the rooms are sprayed to kill mosquitoes, coils are lit and the mosquito drapes are untied from the bed posts and protect you around your bed for a comfortable nights sleep.

Zisska cooks either an Indonesian, Continental or American breakfast at a time suited to the guests. We all loved the banana pancakes! Her cooking skills and English language is brilliant and she quickly became a friend. As she is there all day you can ask her for advice and she will happily give it to you. For a small fee she will cook you a lunch or dinner. We asked for a typical Indonesian meal and it was delicious. She started preparations at 4pm for 7.30pm dinner. The table was beautifully laid with different crockery and flowers. Dinner was served and everything cleared away afterwards. All we had to do was eat the amazing meal. Her husband is also a driver and took us out to Tanah Lot and other places on a half day tour. His English is also very good.

There are five staff. A gardener, housekeeper, two security staff (for 24hr cover), a cook and then Komang, the manager who pops in every day. All will do anything to make your stay as perfect as possible.
They have a small area at the back of the property where they are on hand all day if needed when they are not working in the villa. They respect the privacy of the guests and are very quiet.

The villa is in a perfect place. It is in a quiet back street but just minutes from shops, restaurants, money exchange and the very large Bingtang supermarket. Double Six beach is a 15/20 minutes stroll. There is a good pizza restaurant two doors away. Perfect for a quick meal. Especially the afternoon you arrive. The staff there are very friendly. Also at the end of the road, on the corner, (1 minute walk), there is a spa. A full Balinese massage cost just 85,000 IDR!!!!!!! So affordable that my son and I had them every other day whilst we were there. We also had other treatments that were very good.

I can’t say enough about how good this villa is. The only thing I would say is that you do need to spray yourselves with bug spray, day and night in Seminyak. I did take some from the UK but found the one they sell in Bingtang supermarket better. It was called “Off” and around 30,000 IDR.

We would definitely have no hesitation in recommending Villa Plawa Asri and would love to stay there again when we get the opportunity to return to Bali.

"Il est difficile de trouver des mots pour décrire le Paradis! La Villa Plawa Asri est tout simplement digne d'un Palace: prestations très haut standing, une équipe toujours présente pour répondre à vos attentes ou demandes, de belles chambres climatisées avec leur salles de bains attenantes, une piscine de plaisance qui était la bienvenue de jour comme de nuit...
La cuisinière, Ciska, d'une gentillesse hors du commun, nous préparait tous les matins un petit déjeuner selon nos envies.
Komong, le manager, nous conseillait les endroits à visiter, nous expliquait la culture et les cérémonies de Bali (nous y étions pendant le nouvel an Balinais).

Nous avons été accueilli très chaleureusement et avec une réelle sympathie. Nous voulions des vacances reposantes, nous avons été comblés au délai de nos espérances

Nous pensons déjà à revenir l'année prochaine!"
