Melasti Ceremony - 2019

The Melasti ceremonies have a very different feel this year with it being limited to priests & one member per household to attend. There are no Ogoh Ogoh parades this year either! So here’s a throwback to last years Melasti Ceremony at Petitenget Temple! Tomorrow is Nyepi, or the day of silence which is observed all over Bali with 24hrs of prayers & introspection. No internet, no lights & no one on the streets. Bali is the only island to completely shut down. Nyepi is an amazing time to be in Bali & you should put it on your bucket list of times to visit. I’m looking forward to better days when things are back to normal & all these amazing ceremonies are once again celebrated with everyone

HUJAN - rain! The sound of rain needs no translation! Beautiful gentle rain 🌧 is such a lovely sound to wake up to especially as the wet season has not been very ‘wet’ in Bali this year. Days like these are a good excuse to hit up the day spas for some rainy day relaxation & time out!! Not that us ladies need a reason to go to the spa! Have a happy Wednesday everyone 😊
