Banyumala Twin Waterfalls is one of the lesser known waterfalls in Bali. It is located north of Lake Buyan in northcentral Bali. Unlike many trails this is a completely natural trail and rarely hiked trail. Just past the waterfall is a water curtain of various trickles of water down a wall of lush rocks.β£

Pura Luhur Lempuyang is one of Baliβs nine directional temples and is of great significance to the Balinese culture and religion. β£β£β£
β£β£
Set atop Lempuyang mountain, itβs roughly halfway between Amlapura and Amed as the crow flies. The directional temples radiate around Bali with Pura Luhur Besakih (Mother Temple) at the centre β other directional temples include Uluwatu, Goa Lawah and Pasar Agung. This importance means youβll often see Balinese families from around the island visiting in full ceremonial attire balancing large baskets of food atop their heads, with the purpose of getting it blessed by the priest at the temple at the top of the mountain. β£β£β£

Lempuyang Temple, locally referred to as Pura Lempuyang Luhur, is one of Baliβs oldest and most highly regarded temples, on par with Besakih (aka the βmother templeβ of Bali). It is also believed to predate the majority of Hindu temples on the island. Definitely a highlight on any travel itinerary for the fit and adventurous, the main temple lies at 1,175m above sea level, up on the peak of the namesake Mount Lempuyang in East Bali.
The heights are reachable via a steep staircase of over 1,700 steps, with attractions along the way including several other temples and hordes of grey long-tailed macaques that inhabit the surrounding cool mountain forests.

The Gunung Kawi Temple complex comprises a collection of ancient shrines carved into the face of a rock cliff in central Bali. The main site overlooks the sacred Pakerisan River, which also flows by the Tirta Empul Temple a kilometre up north. Across the river from the ancient reliefs is a temple courtyard featuring old Hindu shrines in a more contemporary architectural style.

Never seen such an amazing water palace like this
The Tirta Gangga royal water garden is a favourite retreat in the regency of Karangasem, east Bali. It was built in 1946 during the reign of the late raja of Karangasem, Anak Agung Anglurah Ketut Karangasem (1887 - 1966). Tirta Gangga saw a series of restorations following the destructive hot showers of volcanic ash from the 1963 Mount Agung eruption.
The lavish water gardens owned by the royal Karangasem family feature 1.2ha of pools, ponds and fountains surrounded by neatly cut lawns adorned with stepping stones, ornate statues and tropical gardens.

Experience the traditional life of Bali around this village
Panglipuran Village is one of the traditional villages which well managed by the local community and has received many awards both nationally and internationally because of its authentic condition and cleanliness.
The name of Panglipuran village is derived from the word "Pengeling" and "Pura" which means to remember the sacred places of the ancestors. The inhabitants of this village mostly come from the village of Bayung Gede, Kintamani who migrated for a reason. All the houses in this village look similar to each other where every house always has a gate as the main entry and the size of every house in this village is also exactly the same.

Newest addition to the Uluwatu skyline βοΈβ£ β£ This plane sitting high on the cliffs above Nyang Nyang Beach near Uluwatu is the latest to appear in Bali. By my count it's now 5 that I know of on the island!β£ Apparently this is a joint venture that is to be turned into a restaurant, something that a similar plane just down the road at Pandawa was supposed to become, before failing to get approval. β£ β£ How this one is any different is anyone's guess, and locals are trying to work out how it is even allowed to be sitting so close to the cliff due to local laws.
