Rebuilt MAC25 Franna Pick & Carry Crane by Cranserco Service Department

A traded in Terex Franna MAC25 has finished its rebuild at Cranserco in Balikpapan. All the crane components have been thoroughly inspected, repaired or rebuilt ready for a second life. The crane was inspected and tested by an independent testing authority before handover to its new owner.

Cranserco rebuilt the crane utilising lost time labour until the new customer confirmed their purchase order and specific requirements. The work scope was adjusted slightly to meet the customer’s requirements and the crane was then finished, tested and delivered.

Cranserco will continue to support the crane with a customer support agreement (CSA) as the crane starts work in it’s second life.

Cranserco commissioning the new Grove GMK5200 at a Sulawesi mining operation.

Cranserco training and commission personnel traveled to a remote mine site in Sulawesi to commission and handover a new Grove GMK5200 All Terrain Crane.
Commissioning the crane involves full functional tests of the crane and inspection for any potential defects that can cause issues.
After the crane is commissioned, training in the classroom and on the crane is carried out by Cranserco for the customer’s operators and maintenance staff ensuring the new crane goes to work safely and performs for the customer.

Cranserco Technician Development Program

Having factory trained and certified technicians available in Indonesia is a key requirement to support Cranserco Customers.
Grove technician training and certification in Singapore and Germany for all mobile cranes allows our service team to develop their skills and provide world class support for our customers.

Before Cranserco was the authorised distributor for Grove, customers had to rely on overseas technicians to provide service support which is costly, hard to coordinate and very in-efficient due to visa and work permit limitations.
This year Cranserco is adding an additional three fully qualified and factory certified technicians to the service department. This ongoing training and development program will see the recent Singapore training progress to final certification in Germany during September – October.

This program will be repeated to train more technicians in 2025.

New Grove GMK5120L

The new 120t capacity GMK5120L offers long reach with an extraordinary 66m main boom plus strong taxi crane capabilities. The crane can carry up to 30.7t of counterweight for configurations of 16.5t per axle, or up to 14.6t counterweight for a 12t per axle configuration.

There are also options of 3.1t of counterweight in a 10t per axle configuration. These capabilities allow customers to benefit from greater flexibility and lower transportation costs. Terex Franna FR17C – The Revolution is Here!

Franna® - The Australian-based market leader in the design and manufacture of pick and carry cranes is pleased to launch the FR17C model to Indonesia. A cost-effective, compact, pick and carry crane with a short turning radius of 6.77 metres, the FR17C is an ideal entry-level crane for city, yard, and industrial applications where space is limited.

The Franna FR17C comes equipped standard with a Cummins Tier 3 engine suitable for B50 Biofuel in Indonesia. An optional Tier 5 engine will be released in 2024. The crane also meets the vigorous EN 13000 load chart (European product standards for crane safety). With a maximum rated capacity of 17 tonne, the FR17C has a 5-tonne line pull winch for heavy duty applications utilising a heavy-duty U section fabricated boom.

Synchro shuttle transmission with torque converter provides smooth and efficient power, increasing productivity and requiring little maintenance. Driver fatigue is instantly reduced since there is no clutch pedal to operate, and this along with the full-width, two-person cabin provides excellent visibility and driving comfort.

A cost effective, compact crane with a short turning radius, the FR17C is ideal for city, yard, and industrial applications. Its versatility also lends itself well to infrastructure projects and crane hire fleets.

First Franna AT40 Delivered to Indonesian Customer!

Cranserco recently delivered successfully, the first Terex Franna AT40 to a mining customer in Indonesia. The AT 40 is the largest pick and carry crane in the Franna product range and has been specifically designed for higher capacity lifting applications, boasting 44% more load moment capacity than the Franna MAC 25. The 3-axle design eliminates the need for a removable counterweight and the third axle control system raises axle 3 when operating on a work site to provide a smooth turning circle.
