Merapi Small Eruption 11 May 2018
Known as the most active volcano in Indonesia, located on the border between Central Java and Yogyakarta provinces, Indonesia. Smoke can often be seen emerging from the mountaintop, and several eruptions have caused fatalities. Pyroclastic flow from a large explosion killed 27 people on 22 November 1994, mostly in the town of Muntilan, west of the volcano.Another large eruption occurred in 2006, shortly before the Yogyakarta earthquake.
This video recorded by one of mountain hikers at Pasar Bubrah, hikers camping ground, close to the top of the mountain, 120 people who had gone hiking up Merapi, were safe. The disaster agency described Merapi's latest eruption as phreatic, a phenomenon caused by the heating and expansion of groundwater.

Wayang Puppet
Wayang is a form of puppet theatre art found in Indonesia and other parts of Southeast Asia, wherein a dramatic story is told through shadows thrown by puppets and sometimes combined with human characters. The art form celebrates the Indonesian culture and artistic talent; its origins are traced to the spread of Hinduism in the medieval era and the arrival of leather-based puppet arts called Tholu bommalata from southern India.
The dalang, sometimes referred to as Dhalang or Kawi Dalang, is the puppeteer artist behind the entire performance. It is he who sits behind the screen, sings and narrates the dialogues of different characters of the story. With a traditional orchestra in the background to provide a resonant melody and its conventional rhythm, the dalang modulates his voice to create suspense thus heightening the drama The dalang is highly respected in Indonesian culture for his knowledge, art and as a spiritual person capable of bringing to life the spiritual stories in the religious epics.
UNESCO designated wayang kulit, a shadow puppet theatre and the best known of the Indonesian wayang, as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity on 7 November 2003. In return for the acknowledgment, UNESCO required Indonesians to preserve their heritage

Lombok
The provincial capital and largest city on the island is Mataram. It is somewhat similar in size and density with neighboring Bali and shares some cultural heritage, but is administratively part of Nusa Tenggara Barat along with sparsely populated Sumbawa. It is surrounded by a number of smaller islands locally called Gili.

Lake Labuan Cermin is one of the fascinating attractions which located in the village of Labuan Kelambu, Subdistrict-Biduk, Berau regency, East Kalimantan Indonesia. Lake Labuan Cermin is a super clear lake that has two type of water in it, i.e. freshwater and saltwater. Both of this water never mixed with each other. Salt water which placed at the bottom lake never passes to the surface where the fresh water is placed.

I See Dead People
Another video about funeral in Toraja which is always amused me, they do have complex ways to prepare everything for the funeral rituals, and usually take months to prepare and have traditionally been held after the rice harvest, when people have money to pay for the expensive events.

Funerals in Toraja
In Toraja society, the funeral ritual is the most elaborate and expensive event. The richer and more powerful the individual, the more expensive is the funeral.
The famous Toraja funerals take place in three phases: 1) care of the body, 2) the funeral itself, and 3) the burial. The funerals usually take months to prepare and have traditionally been held after the rice harvest, from September to December, when people have money to pay for the expensive events. Small funerals are held year round. The date of the funeral is difficult to ascertain. Scheduled funerals are often canceled suddenly even if they had been planned months in advance. The date is never fixed and is often determined at the last minute using criteria that only the Toraja know. #toraja #travel #adventure

Kelimutu is a volcano, close to the small town of Moni in central Flores island in Indonesia. The mountain has three volcanic crater lakes that differ in color, the lake colors vary on a periodic basis.
