Bali - flight to Yogyakarta - Malang - Batu - Bromo - Ijen - Ketapang - 6D/5N
Just a bit of time, a lot of highlights to catch
Day 1: Bali - Flight to Yogyakarta
You catch a flight around noon. It is only a one hour twenty minutes flight. You will be picked up at the airport in Yogyakarta and brought to your hotel. Depending on your wishes, you can either enjoy the day by yourself, or go on a city tour. When you choose sightseeing, we can visit some sights according to your wishes. Interesting spots might be the Sultan's palace (closes at 14.00), fort Vredeburg, the silver industry, batik industry and the water castle.

Day 2: Borobudur & Pramabanan before departing to Malang
After breakfast, the car is waiting for you (store your bags in the hotel). You will head northwest wards to the Borobudur, one of the world's wonders. The Buddhist temple was restored with UNESCO's help in the 1970s. Enjoy the temple in its surroundings.
Prambanan, another impressive temple is next on the list; the Prambanan. It is the largest temple compound dedicated to Shiva in Indonesia. It was built just after the Borobudur. Just as the Borobudur, the Prambanan as well is on the World Heritage List.
Late evening, or early morning, you will take the train to Malang.

Day 3: Malang - relaxation
Just have a day of. You can explore Malang, or just do what suits you most. Some interesting spots in Malang that you would like to visit are: the bird and flower market, Ijen Boulevard, the Chinese temple, the alun-alun (the town square), Tugu monument, Pasar Besar, the football stadium, one (or all) of the three museums: Museum Malang Tempo Doeloe (prehistoric till contemporary history), Brawijaya war museum and/or Bentoel museum (cigarette museum).

Day 4: Batu tour
Batu, your task this day. We will pick you up wherever you are in Malang. Batu is situated at an altitude of 700 - 1000m above sea level. Among others you can visit: the waterfall Rondo, the flowers village, apple gardens (local farmers in Selecta), Batu Secret Zoo, the tofu factory, and the alun-alun (with a Ferris wheel). You could also do some exploration in the East Javanese cuisine or local fun at shopping centers. Once done, you will return to Malang.

Day 5: Bromo midnight tour - Ijen Plateau
We will pick you up where ever you are in Malang. It will be very early in the morning, around 01.00 am. It is a 2 hours drive to Tosari or Cemara Lawang. Here you will change cars. You will have to hop on a local Jeep that will bring you almost to the top of Mt. Pananjakan, the famous view point. Before the sun rises, you will have time to enjoy an early morning cup of coffee or tea.
Breakfast picnic style
Breakfast will be served in picnic style before heading to the sea of sand. You will cross it partly, but the last part you will have to walk to the crater of Mt. Bromo. You can also ride a horse to the stairs (not included), that you will have to climb to get to the crater rim.
Heading to Ijen Plateau via the beach Pasir Putih
Via the beach Pasir Putih, we drive to the Ijen Plateau. At the beach you can have lunch (not included) and enjoy the sea. But, if you stay too long, you won't see the Ijen Plateau by daylight. We head to Sempol to spend the night. If it is not yet dark, you can take a bath in the hot spring, visit the waterfall, see coffee seedlings, visit the coffee factory, etc.

Day 6: Ijen crater lake - drop in Ketapang (ferry to Bali)
Wakey wakey! Around 04.30 you will sit in the car again. In around 1 hour you will be in Paltuding. Here you can start trekking to the crater lake. It will take around 1,5 hour to conquer the 3 kilometers to the green-blueish lake. On route you will encounter a lot of sulfur miners carrying their load down the slope.
When back at the parking area don't forget to visit the sulfur weighing area. All sulfur miners get together to weigh their loads and get paid.
Maybe after a small local snack, you will be driven to Ketapang where you can take the ferry to Bali.
Optional tours: Blue fire at the Ijen crater lake. You will have to leave around 1 am.
