Greetings to all family, friends and divers!

We know it’s been a tough two years for many of you. Likewise for those of us in the dive industry.

Many of us in the industry have not been idly waiting for freedom of travel to visit our waters again. We at Dive In Bintan have been training, planning and upgrading our operations to prepare for your return to dive with us. Yes it’s true!

We are very excited to be sharing with you our plans for 2022.

1. Upgraded dive center operations

We have renovated our dive shop. We now have a fully equipped dive center in Tanjung Pinang for guests to try on the rental gear before they proceed to our dive boats. We have replaced our rental gear with new shorties, BCDs and regulators from Aquamnundo Sports (https://aquamundosports.com/) through our gear supplier, Kawan Kawan (https://www.kawanoutdoors.com/shop).

You will also be pleased to know that in 2022, instructors and divemasters accompanying their guests, divemaster trainees and dive interns will be offered complimentary accommodation in our new dormitory during their visit.

We have kept our office at the lobby of Aston Hotel Tanjung Pinang for inquiries and to receive our guests. As usual, free return transfers to our dive boats will continue to be offered from here.

2. Dive Boats

MV Gattino

Dive In Bintan is happy to introduce our first liveonboard (LOB). With Gattino, we will be visiting sites as far as the Anambas Islands, Natuna Islands and Kalimantan. Gattino sleeps 8 guests comfortably in a shared dormitory onboard and is fully equipped to make the journey safely and comfortably.

MV Pompoko

Our upgraded day trip boat, Pompoko now takes 10 divers comfortably with onboard freshwater shower and toilet facilities.

MV Arrietty

Our ever reliable adventure boat, MV Arrietty is raring to take her guests to the outlying islands for dives quickly, and is suitable for overnight trips as well, allowing for night dives and early morning dives at remote sites within a single trip.
