Indonesia Herping Tours

Indonesia Herping Tours Promoting conservation through sustainable ecotourism and empowering local communities.
(12)

Wether you want a nice luxury trip to see some wildlife, or to experience the rugged Indonesian wilderness, we can make it happen. Our team of wildlife guides, consisting of herpetologists, field herpers, and ex-hunters are highly skilled in what they do, and know these animals and their habits like the back of their hand. Currently we do trips around West Java, Sulawesi, Borneo and Komodo Nationa

l Park, and will expand to other islands in the future. The proceeds from these trips will provide funding for the conservation efforts of herpetofauna. Also, by doing this form of eco tourism, we hope to improve the local economy, therefore encouraging locals to protect the environment rather than destroy it, as we try to involve the local community as much as possible.

Curious about snake venom? 🐍

There are three main types based on their pharmacological effects: hemotoxic, neurotoxic, and cytotoxic. All snake venoms have different compositions, which is why we must use different anti-venoms for different snakes.

Shell-ebrating World Sea Turtle Day!

This year, let's celebrate the wonderful things sea turtles do for our ocean. Sea turtles are a ""keystone"" species, which means they affect the environment and other species around them. They help control prey populations, help the coastal vegetation thrive from their eggshell nutrients, and even graze to keep seagrass beds healthy.

Happy World Ocean Day!

This year we celebrate the ocean and its role in our life. Aside from being the producer of more than 50% of oxygen on earth, it is also home to 80% of the world’s biodiversity. Through this year’s theme, Catalyzing Action for Our Ocean & Climate, we invite you to spread awareness that everyone can contribute to the sustainability of our ocean by making little changes, such as reducing plastic waste, consuming sustainable seafood, and supporting local NGOs fighting to protect our marine biodiversity.

One Ocean, One Climate, One Future – Together!
