Exciting Adventure with ISJ Students to Bogor Volcao!

Today was full of fun and enthusiasm! Students from the International School Jakarta (ISJ) had an amazing experience hiking a volcano and trekking through the lush jungle in Bogor Volcano

Guided by the Ridwan Guide Bogor and team, they explored natural trails, witnessed the breathtaking beauty of nature, and learned about Indonesia’s unique flora and fauna. Of course, laughter and camaraderie made this journey even more memorable.

What did they do?
✅ Conquered hiking trails with spectacular views.
✅ Learned about the local ecosystem and the importance of preserving nature.
✅ Relaxed while enjoying traditional snacks in the great outdoors.

backpacking volcano near jakarta . ..

backpacker travellers from Germany, Netherlands and Australia were exploring Volcano near jakarta. 3 of them were staying at backpacker hostel in jakarta and took a train from Jakarta train ststion to Bogor train station.
other 5 travellers were staying at hotel in bogor. we picked them up from hotel in bogor and bogor train station and drove to volcano mountain. on the way they saw some beautifull view of rice terraces, vegetables plantation, mountain hills and local people activities such as farmers.
continue driving to jungle of rain forest and did trekking. continue hiking to volcano's crater and experience walk on lava floor in the middle of active crater and swim at hotspring.. also visited and swim at nature waterfalls in the middle of jungle

Indonesia rain forest

It's about 60km south of Jakarta or about 3 hours driving by car from Jakarta you can have experience trekking in the real rain forest.

This place is not touristic yet. If you are in good lucky then you will see some wild animals such as pigs, birds, Java eagles and Javanese leopard.
There are some beautiful nature waterfalls in the middle of Jungle of this rain forest.

The most worth it is the active volcano's crater which is located in the middle of Jungle and you Will have an amazing experience by Walking on lava floor to closely see panoramic of Crater, gass hissing, bubling cold lava and hot water, sulphur and hotspring.
