Flower printing and cooking class workshop ๐ฒ

A beautiful way to see the local life and spend the day learning some new skills ๐ป๐บ
You'll start your morning collecting flower from the organic garden to be printed either onto a cotton bandana or scarf.
While the print sets, you'll head off to a local house to cook a variety of traditional Indonesian dishes to enjoy for lunch.
In the afternoon you'll head back to finalise your eco print, and open it to see the incredible colour patterns.

The family all working together to crack Betel Nut (Areca nutsย ) to be sold for chewing.
This is an ancient tradition is thought to be at least 2,000 years old.
Areca nuts are chewed with betel leaf for their effects as a mild stimulant, causing a warming sensation in the body and slightly heightened alertness.
All over Indonesia you can see this practice, usually among the older people, whose lips are often stained red by years of chewing.

Take part in the Village Life Tour and visit a local house still processing brown sugar the traditional way over an open fire.
You'll get the chance to taste the sugar at various stages and can purchase the blocks of brown sugar "gula merah" at the end, which can be used at home to make some of Indonesia's most famous dishes - Rendang and Semur.
