EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT SURFING SEASONS IN BALI 🏄‍♂️🏄‍♀️

In the Dry Season:
☀️ April-October, head to Bali's west coast (you can go to Kuta or Canggu if you want beach breaks instead of reef breaks)
☀️ June-August, this is Bali's winter but is the period during which the waves Bali is famous for can be found - stay on the west coast and head to places like Uluwatu, Padang Padang and Dreamland to see them in action (these breaks are not recommended for beginners!)

In the Wet Season:
💧 November-March, the east coast of Bali is where you want to head - we love Nusa Dua and Sanur in particular!
💧 We'd also recommend heading to Kuta and Canggu in the wet season, as they're prime for beginners and will be less crowded than during high season

Bali has no end of beach clubs, all with views that’ll leave you wanting to stay and hang out ALL day 🌅

This is La Brisa, one of our absolute favourite spots - located in our hub, Canggu. Though our vans leave from here, we highly recommend hanging around for a bit to surf, temple hop & try out the world famous cafes and beach clubs!

Banyumala waterfall is our favourite, best kept secret in northern bali 🤫

Just a short 20 minute downhill walk from the car park is this spectacular sight, you can take a dip in the freezing water or just explore the surroundings, there’s plenty of nooks and crannies to investigate!

Bali is famous for its stunning beach clubs, and this one is no exception. Head down to Uluwatu to visit to spend the day overlooking the ocean, sipping on cocktails & watching the famous Balinese sunset from the cliffs ☀️

📍Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, Bali

The lesser known rice terraces in Bali are just as beautiful. We could spend hours and hours wandering around and admiring the landscape here 😍

📍 Campuhan Ridge Walk, Ubud

This is one of our favourite spots in Ubud, just a few moments away from the bustling centre you can find this beautiful walk.

You can park up at one end & just wander the ridgewalk for about 25 minutes, stop off for a fresh coconut at the village and then head back OR you can keep going and wander all the way down to find more rice paddies & some gorgeous restaurants to grab a delicious meal in.

Either way we highly recommend coming here for sunrise or sunset! Both are magical times of day, with the sky turning pink or mist floating around the valleys on either side 💨

The stunning Nusa islands are just next door to Bali, all you need to do is jump on a ferry and head over for the day!

If you want to spend more than a day there, just add a few days at the end of your Bali trip & stay a few nights 😍

Bali’s marigold fields are a welcome adventure when you’re looking for something different to the waterfalls & beaches! 🌼

These beautiful flowers are used in Balinese religious ceremonies, so time your visit before they’re all harvested!

Your eyes are not deceiving you, here sits an entirely random Boeing 737 - abandoned in a field in Bali 😅

The best part? No one knows how on earth it ended up here.

The weirdest part? There's another abandoned airplane just 5 miles away... coincidence or? ✈️

There's nothing like the feeling of catching your first wave 🤙

If you're a keen surfer, we've got routes that have been specifically tailored for you to hit up all of the best surf spots in Bali 🏄

You don't have to head off on the surf route to explore the waves though. Even if you're more interested in Bali's instagrammable side or the cultural hotspots, there's plenty of beginner surf breaks in Bali you can hit up for a lesson!

We may spend a lot of time promoting being on land but boy do we LOVE the ocean! Bali is surrounded entirely by ocean, and you never have to drive more than an hour or two to find the coast 😍

If you're an underwater geek there's so much aquatic life for you here, from tropical fish and crazy corals to dolphins and manta rays 🐬
