🍛 Dining Etiquette in Traditional Settings 🍲

🖐️ Using your right hand is customary, but younger generations often opt for spoons and forks 🍴. When using cutlery, hold the fork in your left hand to transfer food onto the spoon 🥄.

🚿 Before and after meals, ensure you wash your hands. It's important to refrain from using your left hand for eating or passing food 🙅‍♂️. Additionally, wait until the oldest man at the table has been served and begins eating before you start ⏳. In terms of seating, the most esteemed position is in the middle of the table, with the second most important person seated next to them 👴👵.

This iconic sea temple, about 1.5 hours drive from Kuta or an hour from Ubud, is absolutely breathtaking, perched on a rocky outcrop amidst crashing waves. The views are simply unreal, especially during sunset when the sky transforms into a canvas of oranges and pinks. 🌅🧡

It's considered sacred for its role in guarding against evil spirits and its ties to Balinese Hindu mythology. Built in the 16th century by Hindu priest Dang Hyang Nirartha, it's a focal point for ceremonies and rituals honoring sea and fertility gods. Accessible only during low tide, its dramatic setting enhances its spiritual allure, believed to embody divine energies.

The temple is an essential site for Balinese Hindu ceremonies and rituals, especially those related to the sea and fertility. Offerings and prayers are made to the gods of the sea and the temple's deities to seek blessings and protection.

Its dramatic location on a rocky island, accessible only during low tide, adds to its spiritual allure. The natural elements surrounding the temple, including the crashing waves and sea snakes, are believed to be manifestations of divine energies. 🐍⛩️

I can't recommend Bali Zoo enough, especially for families! 🐾 One of the highlights has to be the incredible elephant encounters. You get to feed, bathe, and even ride these gentle giants – it's an unforgettable experience for both kids and adults alike! 🐘

The zoo is well-maintained, and the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. It's the perfect place for a fun and educational family day out. 🌳 Don't miss it when you're in Bali!
