🌿 Have you ever swam in natural hot water? If not, come and do it out in Bali together! 🌿

✔️ The hot water springs provide a recreational and therapeutic experience, due to the water’s sulphuric content. This can be seen from the yellowish red sedimentation at several points of the spouts and pool walls.

✔️The hot water originally came from flowing spring water of a volcano. Because of that, the hot water still contained sulfur which is good for skin and health.

✔️ The skin fungus, acne, itch and rheumatic disease can be treated by the sulfur which is contained in hot spring.

✔️ The temperature of the water is around 37° – 40° Celsius. So, you can directly swim into the hot water pool comfortably.

Uluwatu is not just a spiritual place of mystical proportions, it is also home to an impressive population of crab-eating macaques. Prepare to see some serious monkey business with these mischievous primates. Admittedly, they’re adorable and entertaining, but be aware! 🤐They are also incredible cunning. Remember to keep an eye on your smartphone when you’re taking snapshots of those beautiful views. ‼️Another tip: put your sunglasses and bottles of water in your bag! The macaques are also very fond of snagging slippers, so try to wear sneakers or sandals🤷🏼‍♀️

The Tooth Filing Ceremony (Metatah ceremony) is one of the biggest Hindu rituals on Bali. This ceremony is executed by smoothing down the incisor and eye-tooth. The ceremony is performed on young adults.

In the Hindu culture when a person turns 18 he or she is to be considered well on the way to adulthood. To help make this smooth transition from adolecent into the first phase of growing up, the young will have to take part in a teeth filing ceremony
Metatah ceremony is aimed to kill six enemies (Sad Ripu) in people who are often considered the enemy within ourselves.

Sad Ripu include:
K**a (lust)
Loba (greed)
Krodha (anger )
Mada (intoxication)
Moha (confusion)
Matsarya (jealousy / envy)
This ceremony is performed on a certain day based on the Balinese calendar.

Nusa Penida - one of my favourite place to come and stay. Everytime time I say to my clients - if you want to travel in time and see Bali 40 years ago, follow me and enjoy🙏🏻

Nusa Penida is the nemesis of Bali, its dark sister, the place where all the evil entities reside.
This place is still considered Angker (scary, terrifying) by the Hindus of the “mainland”, black magic is believed to still be practiced. Some locals told us that it’s true.

In any case, Balinese Hinduism respects both good and evil, which are equally necessary to keep the universe in balance🌎

Ceremony of Ma Pejati ata Majamuan or "bye bye" ceremony before wedding

This procession is also called the Mepamit ceremony; say goodbye or farewell. The ritual is held at the bride's property. The meaning is to say goodbye to the ancestors who came from the bride. After this ceremony woman goes to her man house and from this moment she takes responsability to take care of his family.

In the procession both the bride and her family and close relatives came to the woman's family. They bring offerings (banten). such as pillow, sumping, cerocot, apem, diamond and so on, and various traditional white and red snacks.

Depending on a good day (dewase) in balinese calendar, after this "bye bye" ceremony they will do wedding ceremony.
