OPEN TRIP EXPLORE PAPUA INDIGENOUS 2024.
14 Days / 13 Nights Baliem Valley Adventures./ Explore.
Day 01. Arrive jayapura, check in at Horison hotel Sentani then sightseeing tour lake sentani and jayapura. Lunch at Yougwa Restaurant in tge lake side. Dinner at hotel.
Day 02. Depart to Wamena, the home of Dani Tribe. Stay at Pilamo hotel. Day time tour around Wamena town such like visit local market and also prepare the all gears for trekking next Day. Lunch and dinner will provided.
Day 03. Drop you to Sogokmo by car then began to start trekking. Today you will trekking to Kilise village in 5 hours. Sleep in local accomodation. Lunch 0and dinner will provided by our cook.
Day 04. Kilise village trekking down to Wamarek village passing missionaris airstrip of Tangma village. Stay overnight at local accomodation. Lunch dinner will served you on time.
Day 05. Today you will trekking down crossing suspension bridge of Baliem river and trekking the hills up to Wesagaleb village. This village hight elevate 1.400 mtr above sea level. Stay overnight at local house. Lunch and dinner will provided. 5 hours trek.
Day 06. Today you will stay one more night at Wesagaleb village and visit the locals villages surroundings. Lunch dinner will provided.
Day 07. Trekking to Userem village or / Yuarima village in the direction to Wamena town. ( see the time ). 5 hours trek.
Stay at school or teachers house. Lunch and dinner.
Day 08. Today you will return to the hotel. Userem trekking back to Sogokmo by passing Seima village or central Kurima District. Lunch box on the way. Dinner at hotel.
Day 09, 10 and 11. Stay at hotel and visit Baliem Valley festival. ( BLD ).
Day 12. Fly back to Sentani and directly transfer you to Nimbokrang village to see the Birds of Paradise. Stay at local homestay. Lunch and dinner.
Day 13. Early morning wake up by 04.00 then walking into the forest and standing under the tree which usualy birds of Paradise playing. After then return to homestay for breakfast. After breakfast you drive by car back to your hotel in Sentani. ( BLD ).
Day 14. Depart Jayapura. Ends of tour.

HUMAN SKULL
Kebudayaan suku Asmat traditional menghadirkan koleksi kepala manusia dari peperangan sebagai syarat KEDEWASAAN. LELAKI DEWASA tidak di perkenankan BERISTRI dan mempunyai RASA BANGGA kecuali ia sudah mengambil satu kepala tengkoraΔ· manusia.
Tengkorak MOYANG LELUHUR di hiasi dan di simpan sebagai tanda hormat dan sering di gunakan sebagai BANTAL. Lubang di samping tengkorak di buat untuk mengeluarkan ISI OTAK yang di berikan kepada TETUA ADAT untuk di makan.
Dalam kebiasaan dulu, TENGKORAK MUSUH di gantung menggunakan tali rotan. SANG PEMBUNUH memamerkan hasil PENGAYAUANNYA untuk menunjukkan KEPERKASAANNYA dan di HORMATI sebagai PANGLIMA PERANG ( Asmat tribe called CESSMAIPITSJ ).
Traditional Asmat Culture demanded the collections through the battle of head as a REQUIREMENT of ADULTHOOD and no man could MARRY and RETAIN HIS PRIDE unless he had collected at least one skull.
The skull of the ANCESSTORS are saved out of reverence and often are used as PILLOWS.The hole in the side of the skull was made to facilitate the remove of the BRAINS which were given to the old men to eat.The skull come from different areas of Asmat. The HUMAN SKULLS whom hanged are enemies and the KILLER want show his BRAVE and WELL-THOUGH by people. They called him as a COMMANDER OF WAR or in Asmat called CESSMAIPITSJ.
