The 27 Km of Bali LRT will commence the construction in January 2024. For the first phase is 6.7 Km underground from Ngurah Rai Airports to Kuta, the next phase from Kuta to seminyak until the ultimate project is to connect Ubud. Not only LRT, the government of Bali , Indonesian railway company KAI and train set manufacturer company INKA are preparing to build Bali circular ring railway in the island to connect major city and new northern Bali airport in Singaraja.
Currently Bali is facing serious traffic jam problem, this tiny island of 6 million population gets 24 million tourists annually, in peak hour, 6 km from airport to Kuta can be 2 hours, definitely this project is expected by many.

Bali Governor I Wayan Koster proposed to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) of the Republic of Indonesia to revoke the visa on arrival (VoA) for Russian and Ukrainian nationals who want to visit Bali.
"I have written to Menkumham a reply to Menlu to revoke visa on arrival for Russian and Ukrainian citizens who want to go to Bali." Wayan Koster said while holding a press conference at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and HAM Bali, Denpasar,
Sunday (12/3).
The policy, Koster said, was important considering the rise of reports that foreign nationals from the two countries committed violations in Bali by wearing a guise of a tourist visit to Bali. Furthermore, the condition of the conflicting country makes citizens of the two countries want to seek comfort in Bali.
"Because two countries are at war, they are not comfortable in their country. "They come to Bali in droves, including non-travelers also return to seek comfort, including for work." she said.

In addition, the high number of violations by citizens of the two countries became a reason for Bali Governor Wayan Koster when writing to the Minister of Law and HAM and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

2002 Bali Bombings, terrorist attack involving the detonation of three bombs on the Indonesian island of Bali on October 12, 2002, that killed 202 people. At 11:05 PM a su***de bomb exploded in Paddy’s Bar, a locale frequented by foreigners, especially Australian youth. The bar’s patrons, some of whom were injured by the explosion, evacuated into the street. Within seconds, another, more powerful car bomb exploded in front of the Sari Club, near Paddy’s. A third bomb was detonated in front of the U.S. consulate on the island of Bali, though no one was injured in that attack. While the majority of the victims were Australian (88), Indonesian (38), and British (28), people from at least 20 different countries were killed in the attack. A week later, Indonesian police arrested the first of more than 30 terrorists suspected of planning and executing the bombings.

Major good News for Bali – IF they get confirmed: The governor of Bali is pushing for following travel regulations to be changed

allow the Visa on Arrival for 23 countries starting as early as 7th of March.
scrap the quarantine in designated hotels (self-quarantine in hotel for minimum 4 nights, and a PCR tests on day 3)
However, the central government has not yet confirmed these plans, even though international media outlets are reporting these changes as if they are already confirmed.
