pandanus war Is one of the traditions in the village of Tenganan, District of Karangasem, Bali. Pandanus war also known as Mekaré-kare. Pandanus war is one tradition that do honor of the god Indra or God of war. Pandanus war is part of the ritual Sasihh Sembah. Sasih ritual worship is the largest in the village of Tenganan. History Tenganan Village Society have different beliefs than most people of Bali. Communities in Tenganan embraced Hinduism Indra. Hindu Indra does not distinguish his people into castes. They also put the god Indra as the supreme God. Tenganan village communities believe that they occupy a prize from Lord Indra. Antiquity Tenganan area is headed by a cruel king named Maya Denawa. Maya Denawa considered himself a god. In addition considers himself a god, Maya Denawa also prohibits Tenganan community to perform religious rites. Subak is a community organization which specifically regulate irrigation system used in suitable tanampadi in Bali, Indonesia. Subak usually has a temple called Pura Uluncarik, or Pura Bedugul, specially built by landowners and farmers dedicated to the goddess of prosperity and fertility goddess Sri. This irrigation system is governed by an indigenous leader who also is a farmer in Bali. The green revolution has led to changes in the irrigation system, with new rice adanyavarietas and new methods, farmers must plant rice as often as possible, ignoring the needs of other farmers. This is very different from Subak system, in which the needs of all farmers are preferred. The new method of the green revolution initially produce abundant results, but then followed with constraints like water shortages, the Hamadan pesticide pollution both on land and in the water. Eventually it was discovered that traditional irrigation system is very effective to overcome this obstacle. Subak has been studied by Clifford Geertz, while J. Stephen Lansing has attracted public attention on the importance of traditional irrigation systems. He studied the temples of Bali, especially reserved for agriculture, which is usually forgotten by strangers. In 1987 Lansing cooperate with farmers to develop computer models Bali Subak irrigation system. With it he proved the effectiveness of Subak and the importance of this system. In 2012, UNESCO, mengakuiSubak (Bali Cultur Landscape), a World Heritage Site, at the first session which took place in Saint Peters
