During your holidays in Bali, I would like to propose to you some daily sightseeing tours that you could do whenever you want. For all of these tours, you will be accompanied by an experienced English speaking guide and driver. All entrance fees and lunch are included according to the tours conducted. Here are some excursions proposed to you:
1. Kintamani Tour, 35€/pers.
- Goa Gajah, the elephant cave, built from the 10th-11th century and used as a place of meditation by the Hindu priests and the Buddhist monks during the reign of King Udayana Warmadewa.
- Gunung Kawi, royal tombs of the Warmadewa dynasty built at the 11th century and located on the valley of the river Pakerisan. To visit this place you will have to descend at least 150 steps.
- Kintamani where you will be able to admire the panorama of the active volcano Batur (1717 m) and the lake Batur, the biggest lake in Bali.
- Visit coffee plantations in order to be able to see the process of making luwak coffee and fruit trees too.
2. Besakih Tour, 40€/pers
- Batubulan is very famous for the Barong dance performance that starts from 9:30 am and lasts until 10:30 am. This dance evokes the eternal combat of two forces coexisting on Earth: the good and evil. It originates in the epopee of Mahabrata. Barong itself, mythological creature resembling a tiger, is a manifestation of the prince Sahadewa (symbol of the goodness) which fights Rangda, a manifestation of Kalika (symbol of the evil).
- Pura Besakih, the “mother temple”, of all the Hindu temples in Bali, located on the slope of the mount Agung (3.142 m). The lunch will be served on a valley well known for its panorama of rice fields.
- Bukit Jambul, very beautiful view of rice fields in terraces located on the slope of the hill.
- Kerta Gosa, Royal Court of justice established around at the 18th century.
- Kusamba, a fisherman village, where you will be able to see the traditional fishing boats called perahu on the volcanic sandy beach and to see the fishermen’s wives boiling and grilling the fish.
3. Ubud Tour, 45€/pers
- Negara to discover the traditional Balinese house consisting of at least four or five buildings of which one of them has its own function.
- Visit a beautiful village temple located at Batuan
- Magnificient waterfall of Tegenungan.
- Padang Tegal where you will be able to see hundreds of monkeys in the forest of 12 hectares.
- Tegalalang a good place for admiring beautiful panorama of rice fields in terraces.
4. Ubud Jalan-Jalan, 35€/pers
This special program will take you in the countryside near Ubud where you will be able to appreciate pleasant walk for one and half hours on a small path curving in the middle of the rice fields. The lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
After the lunch, you will visit the local market of Ubud or Sukawati where you will be able to buy some souvenirs, spices, fruits, etc.
5. Denpasar City Tour, 35€/pers.
Pasar Badung is the biggest local market in Bali, where the local salesmen and purchasers meet to trade. Even the foreigners come there to buy something, for example, like souvenirs, spices, meats, fish, temple ceremonial clothes, baskets, fruits, vegetables, various kinds of traditional cakes, house hold utensils, etc. Museum of Bali, where you will be able to traverse the three principal buildings, each of them containing of the specific objects.
Satria an animal market where people selling and buying some species of birds, baby dogs, chickens, snakes, etc.
6. Batukaru - Jatiluwih Tour, 45€/pers.
Pura Luhur Batukaru, a beautiful temple located in the wild forest of Batukaru, approximately 45 kilometers from Denpasar, then rice fields in terraces, cacao plantations and surroundings, at the village of Wangaya Gede. After that you will discover Jatiluwih village very famous for its very beautiful rice fields classified as world heritage by UNESCO. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. After lunch you will discover Angseri village where you will be able to enjoy hot spring with the possibility to take a bath there. This hot spring, according to the local, is supposed to calm itching of the enzyme and to cure rheumatisms.
7. Bedugul and Tamblingan Tour, 50€/pers.
First you will discover Bedugul for its beautiful temple called Pura Ulundanu dedicated to godess of Dewi Danu. It is located just on the bank of Beratan lake. After that visit Tamblingan area where you will have a nice view of two twin lakes, Tamblingan and Buyan before conducting a two and half hour walk in the rain forest Tamblingan that is combined with a 30-minute sailing by a traditional boat. The lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
On the way back to your hotel you will visit a local market of Candikuning where you could buy the spices, local souvenirs, fruits, orchids, etc.
8.Lempuyang and Tirta Gangga Tour, 55€/pers.
First of all you will discover Lempuyang temple located on the slope of Mount Lempuyang considered as the entrance gate of paradise where you will be able to do a selfie with unforgetable memory. Then you will visit a royal swimming pool of Tirta Gangga whose water is very natural, and you may take a bath there. Don’t forget to bring your bathing suits! On the way of the hotel, you will visit the traditional village of Tenganan, where the locals always keep their traditions until today, for example, the marriage conducted is arranged by the villagers, in which the bridegroom is advised to marry the bride coming from the same village.
The lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
9. Tanah Lot Tour, 45€/pers.
This afternoon excursion will initially lead you to Mengwi where Pura Taman Ayun is located, royal temple built around at the 17th century by king of Mengwi, I Gusti Agung Putu. This temple is surrounded by a basin full of fish. In the interior court of the temple you will see many merus devoted to the gods of the mountain.
The visit will continue to Pura Tanah Lot, temple of sea devoted to Dewa Baruna, god of the sea. It should be necessary to pay attention with the waves close to the temple because they are very dangerous!
You will also watch a very beautiful sunset if it is a good weather.
10. Rafting and quad Adventure, 40€/pers
For this discovery you may choose one of the two activities that you feel interested in doing, that is rafting or quad. The rafting is conducted on Ayung river of Ubud where you will see nice panorma of rice fields, but the quad itself is on the south of Ubud. The lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
