Tired of visa chaos? Follow this simple checklist to gather everything you need in just 30 minutes—no stress, no last-minute panic.

✅ 1. Check Your Passport – Make sure it's valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date. No cracks, no missing pages!

✅ 2. Get Your Flight Ticket – Some visa types require a return or onward ticket. Book it now or use a refundable reservation.

✅ 3. Prepare a Local Address – Hotels, guesthouses, or rentals—immigration needs to know where you're staying.

✅ 4. Have Passport-Sized Photos Ready – Some visas require recent 3x4 cm or 4x6 cm photos with a white background.

✅ 5. Fill Out the Application Form – Some forms are available online, so print and complete them in advance.

✅ 6. Get Your Travel Insurance – Some visas require proof of insurance. Choose one that covers medical expenses and emergencies.

✅ 7. Check Visa Fees & Payment Methods – Bring the exact amount in the required currency (cash or card, depending on the office).

✅ 8. Screenshot Important Documents – Keep digital copies of your passport, visa, flight ticket, and hotel booking on your phone.

✅ 9. Verify Entry & Exit Rules – Some visas require extra documents, like a bank statement or proof of funds. Check in advance!

✅ 10. Stay Updated – Immigration rules change! Always check with an official source or a visa expert before you apply.

You asked – we answered! 📩 Here are the most frequently asked questions about Bali visas. Save this post for later! 👇

🔹 What type of visa do I need for a long stay in Bali?
If you're staying for more than 30 days, the C1 (social visa) is a great option – it can be extended for up to 6 months. If you're planning a longer stay, consider KITAS (work, investor, or retirement visa).

🔹 Can I extend my tourist visa (Visa on Arrival, VOA)?
Yes! 🛂 The standard VOA is valid for 30 days and can be extended once for another 30 days. If you want to stay longer, you'll need a different visa.

🔹 How long does it take to process a visa?
С1 visas usually take 7-14 business days, but express processing is available. KITAS visas take 4-8 weeks.

🔹 Can I work in Bali with a tourist visa?
🚫 No! Working on a tourist visa is illegal. If you want to work legally, you’ll need a work KITAS.

🔹 What happens if I overstay my visa?
⚠️ The penalty is IDR 1 million (~$65) per day. A long overstay may result in a ban from entering Indonesia.

02/02/2025

Indonesia is tightening its immigration laws, introducing severe penalties for tourists overstaying their visas or violating immigration rules. Here’s what you need to know:

🔴 Serious Consequences for Visa Overstays

Tourists staying illegally in Indonesia now face imprisonment of up to 10 years.
In cases involving additional crimes, sentences may extend to 20 years or even life imprisonment.
Previously, similar offenses resulted in sentences ranging from 6 months to a year.

🔴 Official Statement

Silmy Karim, Director General of Immigration, emphasized:

“We want to ensure that Indonesia becomes a welcoming place for tourists and foreign investors who follow the rules. At the same time, immigration oversight will create a safer environment for the Indonesian people, particularly by reducing transnational crimes and disruptions to public order.”

🔴 2024-2025 Enforcement Update

Over 400 individuals have already been deported from Bali this year due to immigration violations.
A $10 entry tax was introduced in February for visits to Bali’s popular tourist destinations. This aims to preserve the island's cultural integrity and curb unruly behavior.

📌 Key Takeaway: Stay informed and adhere to Indonesia’s visa regulations to avoid severe penalties.

Is your visa about to expire, but your Bali adventure is far from over? Don’t panic! Let’s break down your options when the clock is ticking.

🔹 To Extend or Not to Extend?

If your visa allows extensions, act fast! Tourist visas, for example, can often be extended up to four times, giving you plenty of extra time to enjoy the island.
However, if you’ve already reached the maximum stay or have an unextendable visa, it might be time to consider a visa run or switching to a new visa type.

🔹 What Happens If Time Runs Out?

Overstaying comes with serious consequences: a daily fine of IDR 1,000,000 and potential blacklisting. Avoid this at all costs by planning ahead.
If you're in a bind, reach out to a visa agent immediately—they can guide you through emergency options to stay compliant.

🔹 Why Act Now?

Visa processes take time, and Indonesian immigration laws are strict. Starting the renewal or extension process early saves you stress, money, and unwanted surprises.

✨ Need help navigating your visa options? GetVisaToBali is here to make it easy. Contact us today and let’s keep your Bali dream alive!

Looking to fill your feed with stunning shots of Bali’s natural beauty? The Tabanan region is home to some of the island’s most breathtaking waterfalls. They’re close enough to visit in one day, and each one offers a unique vibe. Here’s your ultimate waterfall bucket list:

1️⃣ Sing Sing Angin Waterfall
Tucked away in lush jungle, this serene spot in Manikyang Village is perfect for a refreshing dip and some zen time. The short hike to get here is super easy—just park and walk!

2️⃣ Blahmantung Waterfall
Located in Pujungan Village, this is actually a trio of waterfalls. Start with the 25-meter cascade and, if you’re feeling adventurous, hike to the 50-meter main fall. Pro tip: Wear comfy shoes—it’s a bit of a climb, but totally worth it for the epic views!

3️⃣ Pengempu Waterfall
Hidden in a peaceful gorge near Cau Belayu Village, this spot feels magical, especially when sunlight filters through. Only a kilometer from the Sangeh Monkey Forest, it’s a perfect double stop for nature lovers.

4️⃣ Leke Leke Waterfall
End your adventure in Antapan Village at this iconic waterfall surrounded by vibrant greenery. The turquoise water and occasional rainbows make it a photographer’s dream.

📸 Travel Tip: Clear up your phone storage — you’ll need it! And don’t stop exploring; Bali’s waterfalls, like Manuba and Tegenungan, are waiting for you to discover them too.
