Komodo hunt deer

Komodo mating season occurs between June and August. During this season, adult males travel far to look for a female, and they can travel up to three times their usual travel distance. After mating, the female will start diging its nest for laying eggs in August. Nest preparation is a competition among females. After laying eggs the female will guard it for several months until December, ensuring the nest is safe from predators. Females' duty of laying eggs and preparing nests is hard to do, and they lost significant body weight after this reproductive activity. A female can dig a nest up to 2,5 meters deep.
