ps through the rainforest. You can also get your hands dirty and learn how to restore local reefs, or experience camping in our traditional seaside huts in Lembata. If you prefer, try fishing in the Flores Sea and watch us cook your catch traditionally while appreciating the sunset.

As a tour operator we really care for the environment. Anakarang is a charity based in Labuan Bajo and money from each tour with me goes straight to Anakarang. We also love it when guests volunteer to help clean up a beach!

We arrived in Labuan Bajo the first time in July – what we see was a growing tourism specially diving tourism. But we wanted to explore this beautiful island off the beaten path! Also on the sea, and have contact to the local people.
After a visit at “Catur’z Kopi Club” (very good food) we get this insider tip from the owner about Eddy. It was the happiest coincidence on his travel and we were so glad to met Eddy.

Eddy is a very professional and experienced guide and a special man with a very good knowledge about marine life, ecosystem of environment and also in protection. Also his historical knowledge about Labuan Bajo and Flores in common. He enabled us to discover with him very intensively the wonderful sites often apart from the normal tourist paths. Eddys hospitality was always very friendly and attentive. Security is also important for him and he also take care of us every time.

We did two daytrips, snorkelled at the best spots with breathtaking reefs and landscape, visit wonderful beaches and swim, watched the sunsets from the boat and flying foxes, when they fly up from the mangrove forests – so stunning! We kayaked along the beautiful mangroves, it was very amazing. We also collected plastic together and visit Eddys coral garden that he plant for regeneration.

It was a great time and experiences and we can highly recommend Eddy.

Eddy is not only a great guide but also a man with an exceptional hospitality which I have never experienced before. We arrived spontaneously at his place and he exceeded all our expectations. Eddy showed us around the beautiful area of Labuan Bajo - we snorkelled in breathtaking reefs, camped at a beach, watched sunsets from the boat and the water and also visited bays with lots of rubbish at which we collected plastic together. We couldn't have asked for more nor a better guide! We arrived as guests and left as friends.
So I can only recommend him, especially when you're interested in not only doing the touristy things but also want to learn from a local!
