Minahasa Lagoon - Dive & Tours Club is a small boutique resort located on the mainland coast of North Sulawesi (ex Celebes), approx. 30 km South-West of Manado. The resort is surrounded by tropical rain forest and has its own private beach as well as a picturesque mountain river which crosses the land. Accommodation: Privacy is granted in the 15 cottages, all with same layout and standard, approx. 70 sqm each. 2 cottages are connected through a covered terrace, to enable one communal cottage for group stays or families, 2 more cottages, as well as almost all Resort facilities, are wheelchair accessible. Room Facilities: Each cottage comprises of a spacious bedroom, an adjoining room with a bunk bed, an airy open bathroom and a large wooden terrace with ocean view. All cottages are equipped with AC, ceiling fan, mini bar, tea and coffee facilities, hot water, IDD phone, possibility for internet connection, safe, hairdryer and toiletries. Electrical sockets carry 220 V and require double pin plugs. Restaurant and Bar: Considered being of superior category, the Resort offers the choice of two restaurants; the "River Restaurant" with Italian, International and Asian cuisine, 4 course dinner "à la carte" (selected Italian, French, Spanish and Australian wines are available) and the "Jungle Restaurant" which offers a variety of local specialities. The "Sea Front Bar" is the perfect place to simply enjoy a glass of selected wine or one of ournumerous other drinks, playing games or just relaxing. Warm and cold snacks are available all day. Other Facilities: Spacious private beach (which remains during high tide) composed of coral / volcanic sand, sun beds, sea view fresh water swimming pool, sea front heated "Jacuzzi" and "Lagoon Spa", souvenir shop, laundry service, baby sitting, playground for children, fax, internet and e-mail services, money changer, car rental, golf (outside the Resort). Diving and Snorkelling: Our PADI registered dive centre, other certifications are welcome, is managed by European dive instructors, assisted by professional dive guides, all multilingual, where you may also obtain PADI certifications up to Dive Master Level (inclusive course finishing with your own or our instructor). In addition to diving or snorkeling in the world famous Marine Park of Bunaken, the Resort also offers excellent dive and snorkeling sites right at its doorstep where a large variety of critters and other rare species commune. The dive center is fully equipped with rental material, latest generation of Bauer Compressors, Enriched Air (Nitrox membrane system) as well as 12 and 15 litres steel and aluminium tanks with mono INT valve (double valve and DIN adaptors available). Specially developed for divers, the traditional dive boats are comfortable and roomy and come equipped with first aid kits, oxygen tanks, toilet and fresh water for showering and rinsing off. Manado Hospital, equipped with a hyperbaric chamber, can be reached in less than one hour from most of the dive sites inclusive of the Resort. Tours: Minahasa Lagoon - Dive & Tours Club offers a wide range of land and sea tours which include: Highland Tours, Volcano and other treks, Tangkoko Nature Reserve, White-Water Rafting.... With AC minibuses and experienced official tour guides everyone has the opportunity to take in the supreme beauty of Indonesia's landscape with it's quaint traditional villages and rare and wonderful wild life such as the Hornbill bird, Black Macaco and of course Minahasa Lagoon's official mascot the Tarsius Spectrum, the world smallest primate (approx. 10 cm) also commonly known as “the Gremlin of the Forests”.
