Batak Toba people are the native of Samosir Island ( in the middle of Lake toba) that sits on Sumatra Island so it is an island within an Island, most of the people in Samosir live on the land they grow rice, sweet corn, coffee and onions, . In the photo below a Batak woman is drying sweet corn in the sun in front of her Batak Traditional house located on a mountain on Samosir Island.
