Located in Probolinggo Regency, East Java, Madakaripura Waterfall has an undeniable natural charm. Not only does it offer natural beauty, Madakaripura Waterfall also has the potential for storynomic tourism that is worth developing.

It is said that Madakaripura Waterfall was the place where Patih Gadjah Mada meditated for the last time, before moksa. This myth refers to the choice of the name Madakaripura which is taken from three related words.

Mada is an excerpt from Gadjah Mada, Kari which means heritage, and Pura which means prayer or meditation. Based on this story, the local community believes that Madakaripura Waterfall is an eternal waterfall. The reason is, so far Madakaripura Waterfall has never experienced drought.

Although to get to Madakaripura Waterfall, tourists must trek first, the charm offered is worth the struggle. The tiredness will be paid off when you arrive at the location of this waterfall

One of the attractions of Madakaripura Waterfall is the cliff height of about 200 meters. This height also makes Madakaripura the highest waterfall on Java Island and one of the highest waterfalls in Indonesia.

MOUNT Ijen in Banyuwangi, East Java has a height of 2,386 meters above sea level, and is visited by many tourists, including foreign tourists. In addition to its spectacular views, another attraction of Ijen Crater is the rare blue fire.

For more details, here are interesting facts about the blue fire in Ijen Crater as summarized from various sources:
1. The largest caldera in Java
Ijen Crater has a caldera of 5,466 hectares with a depth of 200 m, making Ijen Crater the largest caldera in Java. This caldera is usually formed from a very powerful explosive eruption that causes the collapse of the mountain peak.

2. The largest acid crater in the world
Ijen Crater has a beautiful and enchanting turquoise green color. The color of this crater is also one of the attractions for tourists to capture the moment.

Although it looks beautiful, who would have thought that the crater water has an acid point of up to 0 which is very dangerous for living things. Water with this level of acidity can dissolve various objects, including the human body. It is no wonder that the Ijen Crater is called the largest acid crater in the world.

3. Blue fire phenomenon
Visiting Mount Ijen, what tourists are definitely looking for is to see the blue fire phenomenon. This rare phenomenon comes from high-pressure sulfur gas that bursts from the cracks in the rocks with temperatures reaching 600 degrees Celsius. While the blue color is produced from the process of meeting sulfur gas and the surrounding air
