The yacht Bintang is a 115 foot / 35 metre by 9 meters Schooner Sailing boat. Fully air conditioned, with sailing speeds of up to 13 knot s.. we don't like crowds so like to cap it at 10 for surfing.. come surf Mentawai islands Telo islands or the Banyak's.. Bintang has been around the indian ocean sense 1999.. There no place we don't know like home...

Our Story

Bintang Surf Charters is a 115ft ocean going Schooner, its one of the largest and longest running Mentawai surf charters boat. The Bintang sleeps 10 (recommended) to 12 guests on each Mentawai Surf Charter. With plenty of deck space and fully air conditioned rooms, you can always find somewhere to kick back and relax between surfing the Indonesian islands.

Our boat trips cover all of the Mentawai, Telo, and Banyaks. We are the sole operators and owner of the surf charter boat. The knowledge of our skipper is Second to none in knowing when to trust the forecast or follow the conditions. There are still many waves you can surf out here alone, heavy waves for chargers, and more friendly spots for the less experienced surfer.

Bintang is a sturdy sail boat built by Classic Yachts in Perth in 1988. With a beam of 28 feet. Under 350 HP of diesel power she cruises at 8 knots powered by a German Made D 2866 LE MAN ENGINE .

Early 2017 Bintang went under a complete rebuild in Malaysia with new rigging to insure we get the best out of the winds and insure you get the sailing experience we advertise.
