Canggu is a coastal village and 10 km beach on the south coast of Bali, Indonesia. It lies approximately 10 kilometers north of the hustle and bustle of Kuta and present a much more relaxing atmosphere of dining, cultural and beach activities.
The main Canggu streets are Jalan Batu Bolong, Jalan Padang Linjong, Jalan Batu Mejan and Jalan Tanah Barak.
Along Jalan Batu Bolong you find the temple of the dead, Pura Merajapati, and the Pipitan Cemetery.
Along the beach there are two main temples, Pura Batu Bolong and Pura Batu Mejan, which are both hundreds of years old and were initiated for building by Dang Hyang Nirartha.
The Canggu area used to have scenic views of paddy fields and coconut groves but current rapid developments are quickly replacing these traditional views with private villas.

Instead you can assist in bathing the elephants in their bathing pool or just take a selfie with them. In Mason Elephant Park, they originally saved from Government camps in Sumatra. This elephants has now successfully bred naturally to add 4 babies to their herd which showcases their commitment to both saving these endangered species.

Nusa Penida is the largest and most exotic of the three Nusa Islands, thanks to its collection of unique Hindu temples and picturesque natural features of cliff formations and lagoons. Lesser-travelled by visitors compared to the other two, Nusa Penida also features a very limited number of hotels and tourist features.
