Dive in Selat Nasik Island
Selat Nasik Island called also Mendanau Island is in south of Belitung. Selat Nasik is a main island with the 3 villages inside. Surrounding with 20 small island. If in the North side (Kepayang Island) surrounded with thousand granite rocks, in selatnasik famous with the scenery of mangrove. Diving in Selat Nasik offering a different sensation.We can explore the shipwreck from the old china dynasti ship wreck, Holland ship wreck till the Pinisi “Indonesian ship wreck. Giant fishes such as Giant Grouper and Napoleon Fish commonly found in this dive site. On the way we can also explore the mangrove tour and in some condition we can see the crocodile in the natural habitat. The traditional local tribe also offering the special “human interest”.
- Dive 1 : From Pegantungan we used the boat and visit the first destination “fisheries hatchery” in PulauNaduk. It’s a MPA (Marine Protected Area) n around the hatchery there is an atoll coral n healthy place for schooling fishes. Giant Grouper and Napoleon Fish commonly found and play around here. Barbequing the fresh fish from hatchery will completing the perfect lunch of the day.
- Dive 2 : The dive site are ship wreck from China Dynasti and Holland Ship that sinking in the world war II. These 2 ship wreck lay in one area on the deep 2 meters to 18 meters. The Holland ship wreck bring the coal as the power supply and we still can see the coal, tank generator, giant bullets n part of the ship. Wonderful coral spread nearby and become a house for the schooling fish n feeding ground for turtle.
- Rest and lunch in the small island with fish barbeque and fresh coconut will be the perfect way to feel the nature.
- Dive 3 :Fatonah Island. This island showing the different typical of island. Only 20 meters from the shore, there is a droop wall coral till 25 meters. Healthy coral living on the wall and become perfect place for fishes.
- In the afternoon we get back again to Pegantungan harbor and back to Tanjungpandan city.
