My grandfather came to this place 150 years ago on a white horse. He decided to stay because of the ancient mangoforrest with trees in the age of up to 500 years. My father king Polin Gultom continued to build the village Silimalombu ("The five cows"). He connected the people of Samosir island to the mainland with the first engine-driven ship. 45 he was the judge of Samosir and people came to his office if they were not able to solve the problems by themselves. Today you can still visit the tomb which at the same time is the main sight of Silimalombu. Ratnauli Gultom, the youngest princess, started 2007 to create an ecovillage with her limited ressources. First she started by planting many trees.
