Hello, dears!⠀

🗿Today we will tell you about an object in Bali that clearly deserves the attention of the Guinness book of Records. Watch the video, add a post to bookmarks and send us your ❤⠀

The largest statue of the God Vishnu in the World was completed on the Bukit in 2018. The statue is located in the GWK Park (Garuda Wishnu Kencana) in the Ungasan district of Bali.⠀

🏞️The Park was created at the expense of private investors and covers an area of 240 hectares.⠀

🏗️Park is located on a hill with a height of 263 meters. The height of the statue is 120 meters (30 meters higher than the famous Statue of Liberty 🗽in the United States).⠀

💲Construction of the statue began in 1990. And on September 22, 2018, 28 years later, it was officially opened. 100 million US dollars were spent on the construction of the statue.⠀

🏯Inside the base of the statue there is a Museum and a photo gallery of the creation of this monument, which would be the envy of the pharaohs of ancient Egypt.⠀

Take the Elevator to the upper section of the statue, where there is an observation deck and where you can see the great volcanoes and mountains of Bali in clear weather.⠀

It is an interesting fact that the religious community of the island of Bali was against the construction of a statue of this size, saying that the construction of such a large-scale object could disrupt the spiritual balance on the island of Bali. But the dissenters were convinced that this would be a new tourist attraction.⠀

The statue was created from 754 individual modules, which were cut into more than 1,500 parts to be loaded by cranes. The weight of the Garuda and Vishnu statue is 4000 tons. Material copper and brass coated with a layer of stainless steel. The crown of Vishnu is covered with gold. The statue is designed to be resistant to earthquakes and tsunamis. Engineers expect that it will stand without major overhaul for at least 100 years.⠀

P. S. Friends, do you think that God Vishnu is happy with such attention to his person?⠀

Nightlife in Bali.⠀

Today I will tell you about the nightlife on Bali. Don't expect hot parties in the style of the tourist South! 😃 I want to tell you about the night life of the Balinese islanders themselves.⠀

Save the post to bookmarks 📲 and put ❤ ❤⠀

Do Balinese people go to clubs? No. Balinese traditionally do not go outside after dark. After all at this time who goes out on the streets of the island? 😱 👻 😈 👹 👺 👾All evil spirits: the evil spirits of Kala, bout, and leiaka witches. All of them are happy to profit from the blood of living people.⠀

🕯 ️But there are events that Balinese people are obliged to attend and they often take place at night. These are night vigils, ceremonies that end late at night and some last until the morning. 🙏Nocturnal ceremonies do not occur as often as their counterparts - the day of the ceremony. But some important dates on the lunar calendar are not possible without such events.⠀

🕯This is what happens at these ceremonies? Balinese ceremonial dances Barong, Keris, and Legong scenes from the sacred Hindu Scriptures: Mahabharata, Ramayana. In some villages the Dalang masters – the Wayang Kulit shadow puppet theater-have been preserved which is equivalent to purification ceremonies.⠀

🕯️Balinese people watch such performances for 3-5 hours, this is not a fun event but a purification ceremony. After the presentation the people are blessed by a priest-a Manka or pedant sanctifies with Holy water and blesses with rice.⠀

📌This is the night life in Bali. Do you like it? Want to participate?

Hello, dears!🙏⠀

🎨The island of Bali attracts hundreds of creative individuals from all over the world. You will meet many people in the cultural capital of the island of Ubud. Sculptors, artists, dancers, writers, yogis, massage therapists, Reiki, theta healing, singing bowls, matrices, Jyotish specialists, and so on, all here. Ubud is called a city of three-eyed and creative people, here everyone realizes themselves in something – they draw, sing, and sculpt.⠀

🗿Today we will tell you about a Balinese sculptor who showed himself in Balinese history. This Is Gusti Lempad.⠀

Not far from the Royal Palace in Ubud there is a Balinese house with the sign "Lempad house". Once upon a time it was home of the famous Bali talented sculptor, architect, woodcarver and artist Gusti Nyoman Lempad.⠀

🏚️Now the house belongs to the artist's children there is a small Museum (scroll through the photos). Anyone from the street can go into the courtyard see the room where the master worked, see some of his works, stone and wooden sculptures, paintings and reliefs.⠀

👨Gusti Newman Lampada was an interesting person and even longevity. He died at the age of 116 and chose the date of his death.⠀

🏵️Gusti Lempad was born in 1862 in the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Bali - Bedulu. In 1883 Lempad already became a famous sculptor.⠀

🌋In 1885 a devastating eruption of Batur volcano occurs and the Lempad family finds shelter in Ubud under the patronage of king Chokord.⠀

In 1890 Lempad helped build a Palace in Ubud.⠀

In 1952 Lempad built the Saraswati temple in Ubud.⠀

In 1950 at the age of 90 Lempad was one of the founders of the art school in Ubud. His talents as an architect and sculptor are in great demand.⠀

☁️In 1978 according to the Balinese lunar calendar Pavukon was the day of Kageng Kliwon. On this day the sculptor Lempad says goodbye to his family and asks to continue his work. After saying goodbye to his family Gusti Lempad died.⠀

🗿Will be in Ubud look in the yard Gusti Lampada!⠀

Hello, dears 🙏⠀

🌱I will tell you what tourist coffee plantations are like and whether it is worth going to them.⠀

Write a post in bookmarks 📲 and put ❤ ❤⠀
🌱If you follow from Ubud to the North in the direction of Batur volcano there are more than a dozen coffee plantations along the way where you can see how coffee grows.⠀

Coffee plantations are not much different from each other. You are given a guide. Sometimes this is a positive character smiling and talkative. Or on the contrary frowning and suspicious: "Oh, again nothing will buy probably."⠀

🌱Most of the plantations are located on the slope of a ravine and are a small garden of 6-8 acres. They were created specifically for tourists and are not real plantations. The garden is planted with coffee trees a variety of Asian spices and some exotic fruits.⠀

🌱You will be guided through the garden told and shown how coffee grows. Demonstrate the traditional method of making coffee. Will show the poor Luwaks in the cells and talk about the famous coffee Luwak. And offer free coffee and tea tasting. You only need to pay for Luvak coffee if you want it.⠀

🌱Here you can sit in the silence of the jungle, try coffee and tea with various spices and seasonings. After tasting you will be taken to the store where if you wish you can (but are not required to) buy something.⠀

🌱In our opinion if a person has never been to Bali, a trip to a coffee plantation can be an interesting stop on your route.⠀

🌈2. Hot springs in the village of Penebel. Picturesque hot springs near the icy mountain river. Excellent combination of hot and cold plus a picturesque view of the mountain river and the jungle.⠀

🌈3. Banjar or hydrogen sulfide springs in the North of Bali near Lovina. Bright green, fountains in the Balinese style, cute and unpretentious.⠀

🌈All sources are pleasant and useful! We recommend you to visit 🙏⠀

How is garbage sorted and disposed of in Bali?🚯⠀

🌿Currently, most of the garbage in Bali go to the garbage dump and into the ocean. There is no garbage processing plant on the island. The Balinese themselves sort their garbage as follows: organic waste is given to Pets or buried, the paper is burned, plastic is also tried to be burned or thrown away.⠀

🌿We do approximately the same at home, we dig a compost pit for organic waste, burn paper, and use plastic repeatedly.⠀

🌿Most of the tourists and people living on the island, of course, do not bother much with compost and burning. The garbage is put in a single bag: food and plastic mixed together and thrown into a common village garbage dump.⠀

🌿It is believed that Balinese people do not think much about plastic and throw everything on the ground. There is this, especially when it comes to plastic cups of water and all sorts of chips and sweets. But still, Balinese, in my opinion, unlike tourists, their garbage is somehow trying to dispose of.⠀

🌿Now in tourist places, in supermarkets, plastic bags are prohibited, there are canvas bags on sale. In tourist places, you can also buy glass or metal, your own personal, juice tubes. Glass or aluminum refillable water bottles. Canvas bags, string bags, and so on. All this is very popular among tourists and long-livers of the island, although it helps more to the external side of the issue of sorting and recycling garbage because at home people continue to put all the heterogeneous garbage in one package and send it to the landfill.⠀

🌿 makes a positive contribution to the issue of waste disposal by installing two bags for paper and plastic garbage in homes, which are collected every week and sent for recycling to the island of Java.⠀

Hello, dears🙏⠀

Today we continue the theme of dangers in a Bali and tell you about the fire ant.⠀

Write a post in bookmarks and ♥️⠀
Fire ant, aka paederus, aka staphylinid blue-wing, aka Tomcat. An unpleasant being the small size of 7-8 mm in black and red stripes.⠀

🐜This striped creature leaves its poisonous mark on clothes, towels, and sunbeds when frightened. A small part of the poison gets on the human body and leaves burns. The fire ant's venom spreads quickly through the body and blisters multiply in the eyes.⠀

🐜The adult insects are carriers of a poisonous alkaloid of pederin. Poison sincerely cause deep skin lesions. How do I know that this is the effect of fire ant venom? It all starts with a small red spot that spreads over the skin in 2-4 hours, increasing several times, and becomes similar to burns with blisters. Blisters begin to subside 3-4 days after the bite.⠀

🐜We have met an ant firsthand, the memories are not pleasant. In Russian-speaking Balinese groups, there are often requests for help, what kind of animal it is and what to do with blisters.⠀

🐜It is said that the folk method of treatment for such burns helps-aloe and papaya leaf juice. Homeopathy of APIs and Arnica also helps quite well. P.S. have you been bitten by unusual insects in Asia?⠀

Hello, dears🙏

🌾Today, some lyrics about - the largest traditional rice terraces in Bali

Write a post to bookmark and put ♥️

🍚An endless path among rice plantations where a new stunning landscape opens up after each turn. An incredible rich palette of green color I wanted to breathe, jump with happiness and rejoice like a small child.

🏞️These rice fields are located next to the mysterious Batukaru mountain which is always hidden in fog and rain. And today the mountain was frowning, shrouded himself with a fog that gave our walk the most that neither is a magical landscape

🌄Bright green rice fields and gloomy Batukaru mountain, shrouded in white-gray fog, with pre-storm clouds hanging over it.

🌞I felt like Frodo Baggins of the Shire, walking through bright green fields, through the land of hobbits and elves. Following the adventures. And ahead of him is waiting for a dark forest with the spirits of the forest, and once he reaches the mountain where the dragon lives, storing untold wealth.

🔮It seemed that now Handelf would appear beside me with a white beard, mischievous and wise eyes, of course, with his magic wand. Yes, I visited a fairy tale today and was very happy, Yes, Yes, Yes!😇

🎎Galungan festival, when the ancestors come to earth and stay here for ten good days, until the final holiday of Kuningan. 🎭Everywhere on the island the picturesque penjors decorated with ears of rice. Incense is smoking in the altars. And on the streets all ten days will walk Barong with a company of children to dance and caroling.⠀

Let's tell you today, who is Barong?⠀

👺Barong-a favorite of children and adults, the most charming character in the mythology of Bali. He is the leader of the good spirits and an enemy of Rangda, the demon Queen. The battle between Barong and Rangda is represented in the dance as an eternal battle between good and evil.⠀

🌳The name of the Barong has several versions of birth. The first version sends us to the word bahruang, which means "bear", a kind spirit that takes the form of an animal as the Keeper of the forest.⠀

In Balinese mythology, the good spirit is referred to as"Banas Pati Raja". Banaspati Raja is the fourth "brother-mentor" of a person from the concept of "Kanda Empath". Banas Pati Raja is the spirit that animates the Barong.⠀

🦁The Barong looks like a lion with a red head covered with thick white fur. It is decorated with gilded ornaments. The origins of the Barong are far from time and rather uncertain.⠀⠀

💪The birth of the Barong took place in the era of animism before the advent of Hinduism, when the people of Bali believed in the supernatural protective power of animals.⠀

👹Barong's sworn enemy is the black witch Rangda. Do you want to tell us about it?

When we are asked the best place to stay in Bali, it is difficult to answer unequivocally. Bali is very different, and all tourist points where there is infrastructure for tourists, very, very different in spirit and atmosphere among themselves.

Describe the nature of the resorts in Bali! ⠀

Write a post to bookmark and put 💚

I'll take the most popular resorts among package tours - Nusa Dua and Kuta. These are two different planets, but they will be comfortable for completely different people. Kuta-it's cheap everything, a lot of alcohol, surfing, parties, clubs, youth, noisy. Crowded Beach, big waves

Nusa Dua is expensive, five-star hotels, more respectable tourists, restaurants. The main beach of Nusa Dua is "knee-deep sea" because of the artificial reef. Nusa Dua is located far from all the interesting places of the island (volcanoes, waterfalls, rice fields) and the spirit of Bali with ceremonies here you will not find ️

There is also a popular resort of Sanur, which we call the favorite of pensioners and children, where the beach is knee-deep because of the tides and the reef, seaweed on the shore. It's cheaper here than in Nusa Dua. The advantage is a multi-kilometer pedestrian road, still a pleasant location, not so far from all the attractions

Changu - big waves, black sand, good surfing for continuing users, art markets, glamorous restaurants, a lot of activity for children, horses, yoga, sometimes rice fields. Changu is loved by surfers and families with children
⠀ ⠀
This is another resort without the sea, not to mention. Ubud. The nearest beach (keramas Sanur or) is -40 minutes away. Ubud is closer to the center of the island, which means that it is much closer to all the beauty of Bali-volcanoes, waterfalls, trekking and climbing ️ here are rice fields, temples, ceremonies, the spirit of Bali. There is also yoga, kirtans and a lot of spiritual audience. And walk the streets pregnant or with babies it's amazing

Of course, is not a complete list of vacation spots in Bali. To be continued

🙏Om Swastiastu ⠀

Om Swasti astu. This is how Balinese people politely greet each other with a wish for peace in Sanskrit.

"Om" means referring to the Supreme, "Svasti" means "all living beings", and "astu" means "world"👌

Why do we live in Bali and run ?

Write a post in bookmarks 📲 and put ❤ ❤

🙏We love the island of Bali in all its forms. ⠀

🙏Our children were born here in the most loving space for this. ⠀

🙏We are interested in culture, traditions, customs, beliefs, and folk characteristics. In General, as in "Caucasian captive", we study folklore. ⠀

We go to ceremonies, make offerings to the house, make friends with our Empath Kanda, interact with spirits, follow the lunar cycle, go to ablutions in the Holy springs, and so on. 🙂 ⠀

🙏We love this island for its contrast, for the thousand realities and incredible spaces that can open up, literally, around neighboring turns. ⠀

🙏We have already traveled thousands of kilometers around the island, and we still find new places for ourselves. ⠀

We know a lot about the island. They discovered for themselves and their readers the incredible sacred places of the island. ⠀

🍃Now on the way to Munduk you can find a little Parking on a steep serpentine. This path down leads to one of the most favorite places on the island.

🍃Here begins the track to all the waterfalls of Munduk and a delicious cafe that keeps a local farmer. He also produces real coffee Luvak at the most reasonable prices on the island.

🍃The food in the cafe is simple but made with love. And fried bananas with real chocolate such that in any five-star hotel in Bali we did not come across better.

Hello, dear!

Today 6 reasons to meet the dawn on Batur volcano 🌋 🌞

Add a post to bookmarks 📲 and put ❤ ⠀

So, 6 reasons:

🌋 To climb an active volcano. Batur volcano is considered to be the most active in Bali, in the last century there were 5 very large eruptions that greatly changed the relief of the entire Great Caldera.

🌋 See the sunrise from behind the great peaks: mount Abang, mount Agung and mount Rijani on the nearby island of Lombok.

🌋 Make awesome photo of the crater is a Large Caldera with lake Batur in the light of the rising sun.

🌋 Feel the morning coolness of Bali and drink hot tea or coffee at the top (there is a shop there).

🌋 Boil eggs in a steam of volcano and find all 4 of the crater of the volcano Batur.

🌋 Descend from the top, swim in one of the hot springs under the volcano, feeling its warmth and strength.
