A large 6 bedroom self catering lodge located on the road to Keem Bay, overlooking The Wild Atlantic Way.

We are a large 6 bedroom self catering house, located on Achill Island and on the road to the world famous Keem Bay. Keem Lodge has 360 degree views, with Clare Island & the Wild Atlantic Way to the front of the Lodge, Croaghan Mountain to the right, Minaun Heights to the left & Majestic Slievemore Mounta

in to the rear. We are a 5 minute walk to Gielty's Bar & Restaurant with a coffee shop. Achill boasts 4 Blue Flag Beaches with Keem Bay & Keel Strand only a few minutes drive from Keem Lodge. We are blessed with numerous walks in the vacinity including the Dooagh Loop & Slievemore Loop which is a short walk from the property and are ideal for families. With a capacity of 12 guests. Keem Lodge is ideal for large families or groups. Two bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and a large family bathroom. There is plenty of space for bikes, surf boards & anything else you may need for a great Staycation on Achill Island.

It's that time of year in Achill where there are lambs everywhere. So just a gentle reminder that we love to see visitors with dogs, however remember to keep all dogs under control and on a lead around sheep & lambs

A Sand Art installation of Colin Farrell has been created on Keem Bay, Achill Island, Mayo.

Ladbrokes teamed up with acclaimed international sand artist Sean Corcoran to create a striking sand portrait of first-time ‘Best Actor’ nominee Colin Farrell ahead of the 95th Oscars this Sunday, 12th March.

The sand portrait of the Dublin actor was installed on Keem Bay, the beach which has become globally recognisable from scenes in the Oscar nominated ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’, in which Farrell stars alongside fellow award nominees Brendan Gleeson, Barry Keoghan and Kerry Condon.

Hopefully now we are getting back to normal, Achill is the ideal location to escape to the coast, with sea, sand, mountains & adventure. Unfortunately we are now fully booked for July & August, however we still have availability for April, May & June. #staycation #Keem #ontheedgeofparadise

Keem Lodge St Patrick's Day

St Patrick's Day is a very special and unique celebration on Achill Island, where the Dooagh Pipe Band, Achill, Pollagh Pipe Band, keel pipeband, Dookinella Pipe Band all come together to play & joined by Tonragee Pipe Band at Dookinella Church, unfortunately yet again we will not be able to come together to take part in this special event. We miss the bands, we miss our family & friends & we are thinking of you 😢. So this is a reminder of happier years. Hopefully we will gather again for the bands on New Year's Eve & St Patrick's Day 2022. ☘️
