Stunning Nature! Assaranca Waterfall.....a 10 minute drive from The Annex with a View, Ardara, Co. Donegal

Assaranca waterfall is a unique hidden gem.

You can watch it all day and never get tired.

The waterfall is beautiful, and the journey is worth it. You drive about 20 minutes from Ardara, co. Donegal along a narrow scenic road toward the ocean. The waterfall is on the side of the road, making it accessible for everyone, you don't even have to get out of the car, but I'm sure you will!

The water falls from high waved rocks surrounded by bushes and trees into a deep black pool, creating a place of power. You can sit and enjoy the sound of millions of drops crumbling and getting back together on their way to the pool, where they finally find peace.

The waterfall is about 2 kilometers away from the incredibly beautiful Maghera beach and the caves, so you can continue your journey on the sands.

Tip: Visit the waterfall after heavy rain; it will be noisier and absolutely stunning!
