✨ We’re thrilled to announce our full programme! ✨

Fingal Poetry Festival returns to Skerries on September 13-15th and it’s set to be an unmissable weekend. Our local festival connects people with poetry, music, and each other — creating shared moments that inspire us to find our voice.

In celebration of our fifth anniversary, along with new and exciting events, we are bringing back some firm favourites — our Poetry Walks by the sea and through the forest, our unique, ISL (Irish Sign Language) interpreted lunchtime reading and our Family Fest for younger poetry lovers, and much, much more — all, as usual, in the company of music, poetry’s first cousin.

We have timed our events in such a way that visitors can reach us with an early bus/train and will be able to get the last bus/train back home again. As inclusivity is one of our core values, we have ensured that all our venues are fully accessible to participants with reduced mobility. There are many free events, and reduced rates are available to those who need them.

We are very grateful to our large team of volunteers, and the support of Fingal County Council, Arts Council, Fingal Local Community Development Committee, Dublin UNESCO City of Literature, DHL Global Forwarding, Roadstone, Fingal Libraries and Poetry Ireland.
