🎄✨ This Christmas, no one should be alone or hungry. ✨🎄

It saddens us each year to think of people who are less fortunate and have to be hungry this Christmas Day. Nobody should have to go through this..

This year we are giving away free soup and sandwiches to anyone who’s spending the holidays alone and needs a meal. If you or someone you know is in need, simply swing by our shops — we'll have them ready for you to take home, toast, and heat up whenever you're ready.
There will also be some blankets to bring home and keep you warm if need be.

This is our small way of spreading warmth and kindness this season. ❤️

📍 Available outside our shop in Pearse street and Foxford road all Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. No questions asked — just come as you are.

As we wrap up a fantastic year in beautiful North Mayo and beyond, we want to thank you all for your continued support in sharing the magic of our region. 🌊🏞️

Our office will be closed, and our social media accounts will be unmonitored from Friday 20th December and will reopen on Monday 6th January. (With the exception of a few scheduled posts and stories to pique your interest).

We look forward to welcoming you in 2025 with more incredible travel experiences and unforgettable adventures.

Peter will discuss the winter night sky, the best night sky features observable on these long dark wintry nights and critically how to keep the Irish weather at bay when stargazing.

Learn how to improve your night sky experience and identify some easy-to-find astronomical objects to winter-wonder at over the Christmas period.

There is so much festive fun happening TODAY in Belmullet 🎅🎄 We have the Christmas markets at Áras Inis Gluaire starting at 2pm, the Polar Express evening at the library starting at 4.30pm as well as sessions of Lego fun with Mixies Brixies starting from 1.30pm (booking is essential for both), the annual charity Erris Agricultural Show Christmas Lights Parade which starts at 6pm and to round it all off, the enchanting Carols by Candlelight at the old church Belmullet at 8.30pm. What a Saturday it will be, full of community and Christmas cheer ✨🎄🎅🎁❄️⭐☃️👼🤶

Enjoy the build up to Christmas everyone, it's the best part!!!!

Ballina honours one of its own, Edward Whelan with the unveiling of a memorial plaque. Whelan was a visionary leader and Father of Canadian Confederation born in Ballina 200 years ago!
