Thanks to Mary Leonard in Ma Murphy's Bantry this is an initiative that I will be starting on Saturday 8th April & thereafter on the 2nd Saturday of each month. I personally need to work on live performing & this is what this is aimed at. Musicians who may not have a full 1 or 2 hour set ready but who have a true desire to perform whatever they would like to in a 15 or 30 min slot. All styles, originals & covers welcome, but booking essential. Please note this is an acoustic affair with no PA. Please call me if ye fancy it & feel free to share.

It is with a sense of sadness but necessity that all things MM will be put on hold from now as basically Family life, with my 4 amazing Children, over the past month has just got even busier with trips here, there & everywhere during the week on top of the normal daily routine. Also, Emily & I are working on an EP of her originals which is mega exciting so any spare time goes into that. I am certainly not complaining as it is great they can do it but I have to take a step back as I singlehandedly can't do it all. Thanks to you all for the wonderful support & gorgeus singing & who knows what the future will bring! Lots of Love Mary ###xx

Hello & hope you've had a great Summer. Just to confirm that classes at Gaelscoil Bheanntrai will resume on Monday 10th October.
Mainstream classes not yet confirmed as have other commitments but will post soon re these.

Thanks to Daisy & Kelly from MM Gaelscoil for my lovely card. The message inside actually made me cry. Well that's it both groups are now finished for the Summer (apart from some concert rehearsing) so I would now like to say THANK YOU to all the wonderful young people that come to our classes. I love you ALL & have had an amazing year with ye. Have a fabaroony Summer & see ye in October for more shenanigans. 😍😙🎶🎤

Life is so whacky & full of pleasant surprises. We are not performing our own charity concert this year but low & behold we are WANTED 😊😆. I won't reveal all details right now but I will say can ye all please try & keep Sunday 7 August free as we would like as many MMers as possible to attend an all day charity event at The Westlodge, Bantry. A great few weeks of song we have had & sorry I have been so rubbish posting but life has been mad busy recently. Anyway we are now finished until Friday 1 April. Have a great St Patrick's Day & a relaxing chocolate filled Easter. Oh & let's hope we get a bit of sunshine too 🐣🌞🍫🐇

Today Emily emailed the tracks to our members that we recorded with Brian Casey at Wavefield Recording Studios at Halloween with our Summer Campers 2015 & we are delighted with them. Such a great achievement for these wonderful youngsters to have produced 3 great songs & a huge thanks to Brian who didn't stop there as each group also recorded a cover too. We will be running the camp again this year from Monday 8 to Friday 12 August with limited spaces available so anyone interested in their 8-17 year old having some fun with us please call 087 982 8933.

Lovely session on Friday. Due to the fact that most of our Friday group have exams this year we have decided to postpone our Spring charity concert, as a matter of respect to them & we wish them all the best with their studying etc. However we will organise a gathering of the MM families in a cozy venue to showcase what we have been up to & it will be very relaxed & without months of preparation. Happy Valentine's Day 💜

Great lively sessions at Gaelscoil Bheanntrai yesterday, thanks to both groups. Also our Friday Coomhola group is moving in a very interesting direction with guitars, keyboards & fiddles entering the big picture. A natural progression which has developed through the relaxed atmosphere created here - the cuppa tea & bickies are thrown in too of course. We now looking forward to our first monthly jaunt out to Durrus so will report back on that tomorrow. Loving it ALL - thank you beautiful members 💜🎤🎻🎹🎸😄

We had a lovely cosy session on Friday last. Sang 3 songs that everyone enjoyed. As a tribute to the late great David Bowie we sang Let's Dance, I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables & Writing's on The Wall by Sam Smith. Thanks gang!

Our classes for 2016 have commenced & we have a few places left. Melody Matters is a fun singing club which runs on Fridays from 5.30-7pm. We cover a wide range of different styles of songs & will once again be performing our concert for LOCAL charities in May. If your child is 7-17 years old & loves to sing then they might enjoy it. First session of 2016 last eve & it was great. Loadsa talk of our Spring concert already & I am in the process of sorting our venue.
