As Halloween approaches, we pay tribute to an eerie tale right here on Lough Key… the legend of Lady McGreevy! An ancestor of our very own Lough Key Boats family, Lady McGreevy is said to roam Castle Island, still watching over the waters she loved so dearly.

Locals say that on misty nights, her ghostly silhouette can be seen drifting along the shoreline, guarding the ruins of her beloved castle. Listen closely, and you might just hear her whispers over the water… Are you brave enough to venture near?
