We love our custom work here, but don't always get the time to do it, so its been nice to have a quiet weekend and a chance to play with a project.

This is a Tokyo Marui 1911A1, with a Guarder metal body kit, upgraded internals and is still a work in progress. We'll update as we do more, but here's a few pictures for the time being :)

In definite need of a service, the grease in here had all but dried out completely! All sorted, squeaky clean and ready for reassembly :)

So, a quiet Sunday afternoon...perfect time for a little project work!

The trigger on the ICS M3 is quite different to the real steel, angled far further forward and the trigger pull is quite long as a result.

A quick strip down of the switch / trigger assembly, shim the trigger for a shorter pull, a few other tweaks & adjustments and the trigger is far more responsive (and much closer in appearance to the original)

Next is changing the profile of the trigger guard, improved slightly, but ran into a couple of points, so not a 5 minute fix, but that's a job for next time :)

We do enjoy a bit of customising from time to time, and picked up an ICS M3 Greasegun recently. Over the next few weeks we'll publish updates as we convert it over to the suppressed version (which was technically an M3A1, but what the hell :) ) and make internal upgrades and some other custom work to it too.

Sometimes problems can be a little out of the ordinary - in this case the trigger contact stop had snapped off the gearbox casing, meaning the contact went past the trigger and the gun stopped working.

Rather than a new casing, we drilled a hole, bonded in a screw, tidied everything up and rebuilt. Job done, saving the cost of a new gearbox :)

While in there, we cleaned and serviced the gearbox too, at no additional cost.

Real Sword Type 97, all stripped, cleaned, shimmed and ready for reassembly. Next, 3 different types of grease, 2 different types of oil and its all back together and running smoothly :)

Ares L1a1 SLR

Back before there was a wood kit available, we took an original wood kit and fitted it to an Ares L1a1. With some cleaning and a small amount of modification, than handguard went on fairly easily…

G&G Soc 16.

This started out as a basic plastic stocked G&G Soc 16 and was extensively reworked.

First, the plastic stock was replaced with a G&G walnut version, which was stripped of the factory lacquer, sanded, stained and oiled before refitting. All metalwork was stripped of paint and blued, aiming for an antique patina, while the rail top cover was replaced with a standard M14 black cover, to give the rifle cleaner lines.

Internally, these gearboxes are rock solid, the piston and cylinder heads were replaced with Systema silent versions, the airseal was improved but other than that, this was left as standard.

The inner barrel was replaced with a Madbull 6.01 tightbore, fitted into a Mabull blue hop rubber.

WE Browning GBB pistol

This started off as a standard WE Browning, lot of work was done to modify the topslide so that a set of genuine modern sights could be fitted and the lower receiver was finished off with some genuine pistol grips. A few tweaks internally and this pistol works like a charm :)
