Bus Eireann school routes start on Monday 26th August 2024 - unless the school opens later that week such a primary schools or East Glendalough School on Tuesday 27th .

Coláiste Chraobh Abhann Kilcoole passengers please take note as though we saw on the school calendar that CCA opens on the Friday before on the 23rd , Bus Eireann has confirmed that services are to start on Monday 26th.

Tuesday 2nd July morning: Total gridlock around Bray Main Street and Southern Cross Road and parts of M11 not moving.

Unfortunately we are hearing reports of accidents etc so no feedback yet on how long the traffic jams will continue.

Wild and windy winter Irish weather with storm Isha but unless County Wicklow is changed to a status red know that we plan to provide all usual services in the morning of Monday 22nd January 2024.

If any of you see trees down around such as on our school routes etc on minor roads, particularly Roundwood or Newcastle or Enniskerry please let us know.

But forecast looks like it will pass in a few hours according to www.met.ie

1315 update … we got it sorted and we’re back on track!!

SORRY - due to technical issues. We are going to have to swap buses on the service so there may be no service from 12:15 for the next hour or two. Apologies for any inconvenience convenience. We will update as soon as we get back on track and divert another vehicle .

So we will not be running the following:
Roundwood to CCA
Kilcoole to EGS
Knockree to Enniskerry / NWETSS
Silver Tassie to Shliabh Rua
Aitkens to Colaiste Iosacain/Eoin
Kilcoole to Colaiste Rathin

Original post : Storm Debi to delay our School routes by TWO HOURS Monday 13th November 2023

Please note that all our school bus routes will run two hours later than normal in line
with National Emergency Co-op group recommendations for delayed school openings. This two hours is across all school routes regardless of details of individual schools opening at different times.

Please do keep us updated if your school announces it will not open at all.

We are doing our best today but unfortunately due to unexpected and sudden shortages with staff (including health issues and an injury) the 1615 and 1800 from Southern Cross and the 1715 and 1845 from Luas are cancelled today.

The public display event will be held in the Glenview Hotel, Glen of the Downs, on Tuesday 12th September 2023
between 12.00 noon and 8.00pm.

Members of the Project Team will be available to provide guidance and to answer questions.

06/09/23 0740 update …. we managed to get it sorted and services are running on time.

Apologies but we are having an awful morning here in the yard with issues with the vehicle and the back up vehicle 🥲so for the moment there is only one bus on the service and there will be no 0745 sc to dart, 0800 dart to luas, 0845 luas to dart 0915 darr to sc and 0930 sc to dart . Mechanics on the way and we will update as soon as we can . 0715 sc to dart and 0730 dart is a few minutes delayed

Sorry folks - we did put up possibe delays just before 1600 and then an update …. and post disappeared on us.

1715 from luas is in Sandyford making its way through traffic so shouid be there any minute

1800 from luas is as far as Cabinteely so will probably be a few minutes late but hard to guage how long.

The traffic has been generally awful particularly around Bray area since about 1530 so again apologies for any inconvenience , but the situation was beyond our control. Many thanks for your understanding. .

Register now for school bus routes in September 2023 !

The School Transport Family Portal is now open for new School Transport applications for the upcoming school year 2023/24 for new customers to the school transport scheme.
Existing customers who may have changed their attending school or home address in the past year are requested to check their applications for 23/24 to ensure they are accurate and up to date.
First time users will need to create an online Family Portal account. Returning Account Holders adding a new pupil can proceed straight to the login page.
