John Boyle wants to make South Donegal a WORLD CLASS TOURIST DESTINATION
John Boyle wants to make South Donegal a WORLD CLASS TOURIST DESTINATION
Donegal has some of the best scenery and places to see in the World. The Wild Atlantic Way has been a great success, and has brought huge number of tourists into South Donegal over the last number of years. I worked on the Slieve League project with a team of great people over 9 years, and I was glad to see our efforts turning into a huge success and especially for the people of Carrick and Teelin. We need to build on that further now, and I firmly believe that South Donegal with its clear air, fantastic sights, and warm people can become a world class destination for tourists. The arrival of more and more cruise ships to our shores every year shows that we have something special to offer. If elected, as part of my five year plan, I will make sure that both the Government and the EU provide the necessary assistance to develop our local tourism industry even further. I will also lobby for a reduced VAT rate for tourism businesses post Brexit. We need to keep the tourism jobs at home and provide a bright future for our young people. Please support me.

John Boyle sees new SYNCHRO LIFT and PIER EXTENSION as VITAL for the future of JOBS in Killybegs Port
Killybegs badly needs these new facilities in order to expand the marine engineering sector and produce more highly skilled engineering jobs for our young people. The fishing industry also wants to service their boats locally rather that going to Denmark or Holland for dry dock facilities. If elected, I will have a direct line to the Government and Mairead McGuinness MEP putting me in a unique position to lobby for the provision of these facilities in Killybegs. Please support me.

A wonderful tribute to the late Fr. Seamus Gallagher at St. Naul's National School in Inver. It was great to see the local community, staff and the children come out to celibrate Fr. Gallagher's life and his contribution to the local area.

PEOPLE FROM MALIN BEG TO KILCAR MOST AT RISK IN AMBULANCE CRISIS
If the ambulance stationed in Killybegs is out on call then the ambulances from the other bases may NOT be able to reach patients in SW Donegal within the CRITICAL ONE HOUR period. I have been working hard to rectify this unacceptable situation for the last 18 months, and I will not rest until its resolved. My family has personal experience of waiting almost an hour for an ambulance to reach Killybegs from Letterkenny. It was a frightening situation for my wife who was very unwell at the time. I need your support in the upcoming local elections, so that I can get into the Council and fight for you on this issue. I do not want to see any other person to suffer in a similar situation.
MY FIVE YEAR STATEGIC PLAN FOR SOUTH DONEGAL AS COUNCILLOR
MY FIVE YEAR STATEGIC PLAN FOR SOUTH DONEGAL AS COUNCILLOR
I am fortunate to be in a position to dedicate myself full time to delivering this long term plan for the people of South Donegal. I have handed over the running of my businesses to my son in recent years, and I plan to spend the next five years working full time in the Council. I am absolutely determined to use my contacts in the Council, the Government and the EU to develop South Donegal properly. Not many current Councillors or candidates are available to work full time in the Council, but I definitely am and its important to make that clear to the people upfront. I need your support in the upcoming local elections to help me deliver this plan to the people of South Donegal:
1. Improve the capacity of the ambulance service in South Donegal, so there are sufficient ambulances and crews available to deliver an essential emergency service to all of the people of South Donegal from Glencolmcille, to Killybegs, to Donegal Town and Bundoran.
2. Introduce an Air Ambulance service to that the patients with critical injuries and health issues can be taken to the nearest emergency department within that vital one hour window. This is absolutely essential given the diverse terrain, road conditions and weather in South Donegal.
3. Promote and develop world class facilities in Killybegs Port to provide long term jobs for our young people, in the fishing, seafood and marine engineering sectors.
4. Get the EU and the Government to recognise that Killybegs Port is of strategic importance to the whole region.
5. Install a new Synchro lift and extend the pier in Killybegs, so the local marine engineering companies can grow, and complete globally for business.
6. Promote and develop Donegal Town and the surrounding region as a world class centre of excellence for biomedical science, with top class jobs for our young people.
7. Build on the success of the Wild Atlantic Way, and develop South Donegal as a wo
Supporting JOBS in FISHING and MARINE ENGINEERING in South Donegal
Supporting JOBS in FISHING and MARINE ENGINEERING in South Donegal
Our engineers in Killybegs and South Donegal have global recognition for the unique skills, and we should all be very proud of them. We need better facilities in Killybegs Port to help sustain and develop more of these top class jobs. Currently the larger Irish pelagic fishing fleet has to go abroad for dry dock facilities, which means that € millions is lost to the local economy every year. The fishermen want to service their boats in Killybegs, and support local jobs. We badly need a pier extension and a new Synchrolift that is capable of handing vessels up to 120M long, and I'm working hard with Mairead McGuinness MEP for EU support to bring these facilities into Killybegs. Please support us.

Supporting LOCAL BUSINESSES and JOBS for our YOUNG PEOPLE in South Donegal.
I have created 100's of jobs in my own businesses over the last 40 years, so I know whats involved. I recognise that the fishing, marine engineering, bio-medical and tourism sectors are very important to us in South Donegal.
I was just over chatting to the folk at the car boot sale in Killaghtee Church this afternoon, together with Minister Joe McHugh TD. Thanks very much for your warm welcome and hospitality. It was very much appreciated.
