We welcome all children, and believe that even before a child can speak or walk, they can share a lot with you through music, and as they continue to grow and learn, music can help with motor skills, balance, rhythm, letters, numbers, animals, colours etc. It's a great social experience for you as well as your child and a great way to create a shared interest and develop new ways of playing, danci

ng and singing together. Parents are only required to stay for the younger aged classes. For older children aged 6 and up, there's Wee Glee Singing Group and group guitar lessons! We also conduct ongoing community projects on the topic of Anti-bullying, as well as pop up music and coffee mornings for parents & babies, and music and crafts sessions during school holidays for ages 3 - 8. Our guitarists & singers put on friends & family shows throughout the year to showcase their work and everyone is welcome to attend these. Please remember that when you join the group, it will be a whole new experience for your child and many spend a week or two just watching before they are ready to participate fully in all the activities. Usually, the children settle in pretty quickly and learn the routine, songs and activities and are joining in completely in no time at all!!

Though she's been helping behind the scenes for years, Sophia is now officially joining us for workshops and classes as a teacher - when she can! She's a busy 2nd yr in Magee studying music, training for grade 8 singing and still doing Ballet with the Mary Hill School of Ballet.
She has a wonderful ear for harmony and a great presence in performance. She is great fun with our Boogie Bugs, and works so well with the guitar students. As my daughter, you know she's been learning classroom management skills her whole life lol!
She will add so much to our classes so I'm delighted she'll be spending time with us when she can!

Welcome to The Music Box, where we celebrate the joy of music in every note! Nestled in the heart of our community, our music school is dedicated to nurturing a lifelong love for music in people of all ages. From our enchanting early years music and movement classes for little ones aged 0-3 and 3-6, to the vibrant group singing sessions for kids aged 6-14, we provide a fun and inclusive environment for young musicians to explore their creativity.

Our Guitar Academy welcomes aspiring players from age 7 and up, fostering skill development and self-expression through the power of music. But it's not just for the kids! Adults can often join in the fun with group singing, ukulele, and songwriting workshops, along with specialized singing groups designed for our older community members.

In addition, we extend our musical outreach beyond our school's walls, offering workshops that inspire students in preschools, primary and secondary schools, as well as theatres, family groups, health and corporate settings.
