Welcome to boutique, luxurious glamping with a difference, overlooking stunning country side views, Atlantic Ocean and Achill. Our self-accommodation pods are set in the heart of Erris on Claggan Island - a perfect retreat if are looking for a stunning location and glamourous camping. Visit us and stay in our cosy and luxurious pods and simply escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Only 12 kilometres from Bellmulet town our luxurious site can be rented out individually or altogether for a friends/ family get together or any other occasion you might have. Our luxury Pods can sleep up to 4 adults and offer a light and airy space with elegant wood finish, comfy couches and even more comfortable beds with fresh and crispy bed linen and towels provided. All our pods come with toilet and wash hand basin for that extra touch of luxury during your stay. You will also have a full access to the dedicated kitchen/ shower area in our converted barn. An outdoor area next to the pods is perfect for some al fresco dining or to admire sunsets while tasting the best of local produce county Mayo has to offer. If you wish to be closer to nature, tents can be pitched beside the pods for additional €15 per day.

The Mayo Day flagship event will this year be taking place in the beautiful town of Belmullet to coincide with the Belmullet 200 celebrations that are taking place over the year.
All the magic of Mayo Day and more will take over the scenic north Mayo outpost with music, art, food, culture, children’s fun, and games and more taking centre stage on the day.
The Mayo Day music stage will be taking up residence in the heart of Belmullet town centre in Carter Square with the first notes being struck from 12pm and will continue into the early evening with something for to everyone to get their toe tapping.
The dockside will transform into a food lover’s delight, with the ever-popular food village not only showcasing the best of locally produced food and drinks, but it will also play host to some of the finest chefs and cooks in the region who will be demonstrating their culinary skills to the audience.
While you’re indulging your tastebuds make sure to check out Puball na Gaelige – the Mayo Day Irish language and cultural hub and with Mayo Day taking place in the north Mayo Gaeltacht capital of Béal an Mhuirthead make sure you stop in and immerse yourself in the Irish language.
Make sure you stop by on Barrack Street and check out the fantastic offerings of the crafters of Mayo, with everything from knits to art works, it is the perfect place to bring home something to remember your Mayo Day experience by and support the wonderful local crafters of Mayo.
On Main Street, motoring enthusiast will be delighted with a selection of vintage and classic cars on display for the day.
Just a short walk from the middle of the town will bring you to Áras Inis Gluaire which is set to become a buzzing hub of art, family entertainment, food vans and the ever-popular displays from the Mayo Fire Service.

One of my favourite shots of 2023 taken on an evening to remember at Claggan Island, Co. Mayo. Surprised to have never seen an aerial shot of this place but it's 100% worth a visit, especially on a high tide.
