Summer Solstice
Shine your light
Full and powerful
You give us life
From the darkness
You call upon the plants to grow
Call us from our shadow to show that we are aware of you.
Without you there is no life, no death, no thoughts in your head
of where life comes from.
For your morning to our night.
Shine your light on those who live in fear, those who do not see that the life within is life that’s all the same belonging to the one that is all. Summer Solstice around we go in gratitude and love. Happy Solstice to you all.

Very sad to hear of the passing of Jack Roberts. Jack has been an old friend and author that made many great discoveries including the Spring and Autume sunrise alignment at Sliabh ns Cailleach, hill of the Hag in Co Meath. He has written books in Sheela na Gig and I only met him in May and had a great banter with him as we usually did. We used to meet Jack on some of our tours. You will be missed. Rest in Peace Jack. 🙏

Bealtaine is celebrated on May 1st as we cross from the dark half of the year to the light half. Today I visited Craobh Dearg, an ancient ritual site in Co Kerry that is still active. The site is located beneath 2 mountains called Da Chich Anu, the Breasts of Danu. After visiting the holy well and did some rounds around the old fort, I chatted with some of the pilgrims. There all had powerful and beautiful stories.
We will be visiting this site next Bealtaine on the Earth Goddess tour.

The beat; the slow low beat of the drum. The journey forward, moving about the landscape, stopping to visit and honor old friends and ancient ancestors, those who who warmed the land long before us. The beat progresses, slowly louder and more intense, gathering energy and uplifting spirits both present and past. Feel them, hear them, and touch them in the stone, in the water, and in the wind. The stones, standing tall, threading together the earth and heavens above us. They call to us, acknowledging our thirst for words of wisdom, unconditional love and strength of heart.

You, our guide, our medium to the past, our connection to all things spirit, initiate a sense of belonging, connecting, and respecting those who came before us. You lay a groundwork of emotion, trust, imagination, acceptance, uninhibited warrior spirit and soulful freedom to connect with each other, to the earth, the elements and our purpose of being. You allow forgiveness, wild self realization, and promote the ability to laugh, be mindful, and to share.

In these last days of our enriching tour, I will reflect on this journey of past and present. I am so very thankful for the opportunity to discover how I belong to this space in time, how I fit in, and how to continue to move forward in my journey of discovery. Some more traditions associated with Brigid and Imbolc. How blessed we are to have some of these traditions today. Who would not want to step through a straw ring for healing. May Brigid’s cloak be spread over all in need of healing tonight. May it protect the vulnerable and all people under threat. May it bring gentle peace to all that is suffering. May the land that provides us with food be protected. May it raise our conscientiousness that we are all children of the Earth and stars of the heavens.

Did You Know: It was common to give a St. Brigid’s Cross as a gift to those with a new home, and to newlyweds, to offer protection and to wish the couple well in starting a family.
