Join us for a sunset yoga and dip on Portmarnock beach.

This is a wellness and holistic programme, guided by a qualified yoga instructor for 45 minutes followed by a dip in the open water.

As Swim Ireland continue to support the growth of competitive swimming at national and international level, the need for qualified and experienced officials is also required. This ensures our athletes receive the best competition experience relative to their level, whether at club, regional, national of international events.

At the start of the LA 2028 cycle, we are seeking feedback and suggestions from currently qualified officials at all levels. Your input will form the basis of an Official's development plan, which will be implemented on a national basis, with a focus on club support.

Nominations are still open for the Swim Ireland Club Aquatic Apprenticeship, which has been designed for young people aged 16-25 to support their club and remain involved in aquatic sport for longer.

25 successful applicants will receive a €100 discount on a Level 1 assistant coaching qualification, and will volunteer within their own club, receiving mentoring from an experienced coach.

Swim Ireland clubs can nominate up to two club members to participate in the Club Aquatic Apprenticeship, with nominations open until 30 September 2024.

A special day celebrating our Olympians with two events held in Dublin today.

Our team who competed at the Olympic Games were welcomed to Áras an Uachtaráin in the Phoenix Park by President Higgins and his wife Sabina 💚

This was followed by an official reception at Dublin Castle organised by with An Taoiseach, Simon Harris, and the First Minister of Northern Ireland, Michelle O’Neill, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Micheál Martin, Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, Catherine Martin TD, and Minister of State for Sport, Physical Education and the Gaeltacht, Thomas Byrne TD attending the reception!

The IAKS Conference takes place in Dublin over 2 days on October 2/3rd.

The event will be of interest to anyone involved in the commissioning, design, construction and operation of community, elite and university facilities. It provides a unique opportunity to hear emerging data from leading experts on sustainable and inclusive sports and leisure development.
